We'll get to see how big is Harry's magic wand!

I was going to post one of these pics. You beat me to it x(

He really is growing up, isn't he. Can you believe that he is only 17?! He's actually turning into a hot looking young guy. I've been a fan of the books and movie but I totally didn't see this coming. I'm actually a little proud. LOL :-)

Here's an interesting survey that I found related to the promotional images of him for that play: http://news.aol.com/entertainment/movies/articles/_a/harry-potter-actors-got-a-six-pack/20070131111609990001

Amazing transformation.

....Though the whole horse thing kind of freaks me out.

One thing that can be ascertained about the guys posting in this thread is that they are not theater lovers. The stories and pics on Naked Harry have been posted already in the Spring Awakenings theater thread! Theyy didn't read it!:-(

Very seldom do I find someone younger then I attractive but DAMN! Nice to see he doesn't shave his chest and goes au natural. Can't wait till he is in his late 20's early 30's.

Greg

Hamlet, dear, your problem is clear...

>i thought gay people were supposed to be theatre literate! :D

But, my dear, Equus is not a musical!

...Good Lord. Pray that some latter-day Harold Hecuba doesn't see this post and get ideas...

HAMLET

A Musical

by

the Castaways

of Gilligan’s Island

Act I

[The curtain rises. Hamlet stands stage center.]

HAMLET:

(Sings)

I ask to be or not to be,

A rogue or peasant slave is what you see;

A boy who loved his mother’s knee,

And so I ask to be or not to be.

So here’s my plea, I beg of you,

And say you see a little hope for me.

To fight or flee, to fight or flee,

I ask myself to be or not to be.

[Enter King Claudius and Queen Certrude]

CLAUDIUS AND GERTRUDE:

(Sing) He asks to be or not to be,

A rogue or peasant slave is what you see;

GERTRUDE: (Sings) My son who loved his mother’s knee,

CLAUDIUS AND GERTRUDE: (Sing) And so he asks to be or not to be.

So here’s his plea, we beg of thee,

And say we see a little hope for he.

HAMLET: (Sings) To fight or flee, to fight or flee,

I ask myself to be or not to be.

Exit Claudius and Certrude.]

HAMLET: Hark! I do believe I hear the fair Ophelia.

Enter Ophelia

OPHELIA: My Lord Hamlet is troubled.

HAMLET: Yea, verily, my heart is heavy. I cannot marry

thee, Ophelia. There is nothing left for you, but to get thee

to a notary.

OPHELIA: Ah, my poor Hamlet. Ah, my poor Hamlet.

(Sings) Hamlet, dear, your problem is clear,

Avenging thy father’s death;

You seek to harm your uncle and mom,

But you’re scaring me to death.

While I die and sigh and cry,

That love is everything;

You’re content to try to touch,

The conscience of a king.

Since the day when your dad

Met his fate, You just brood

And you don’t touch your food;

You hate your ma, mad at my pa,

You’ll kill the king or some silly thing.

So Hamlet. Hamlet, do be a man,

let Rotten enough alone.

From Ophelia no one can steal ya

You’ll always be my own,

Leave the gravedigger’s scene,

If you know what I mean.

Danish pastry for two,

For me, for you.

HAMLET: In truth Ophelia, you have said a mouthful.

OPHELIA: Hamlet, I have so much more to offer. But hark!

Me thinks me hear the heavy footsteps of my father,

Polonius.

HAMLET: And the laughter of your brother and my friend,

Laertes.

OPHELIA: Oh, they must not find us here. But where to

hide?

HAMLET: Hide anyplace. But don’t go near the water.

[Exit Hamlet and Ophelia]

LAERTES: Father, my ship sails at the tide.

POLONIUS: A mornent, my son, for I have something to

tell you.

LAERTES: But I ask only for my allowance.

POLONIUS:

Ah, but I shall give you something far more available:

advice.

LAERTES:

Do you know how much wine you can buy in Paris

with advice?

POLONIUS: Paris is a wild and wicked town. And you are

but a young and innocent boy.

LAERTES:

(To audience) Oh, could I tell him a few stories.

POLONIUS: Heed my words, Laertes, and you’ll be safe.

LAERTES: (Inless I listen, I won’t get my spending money.

So I’ll listen, I’ll listen.

POLONIUS: (Sings) Neither a borrower nor a lender be,

Do not forget: Stay out of debt;

Think twice, and take this good advice from me,

Guard that old solvency.

There’s just one other thing you ought to do.

To thine own self be true.

[Enter entire cast]

ALL:

(Sing)

Neither a borrower nor a lender be,

Do not forget: Stay out of debt;

Think twice, and take this good advice from me,

Guard that old solvency.

There’s just one other thing you ought to do,

To thine own self be true.

So does anyone know what the play is about, btw?

Equus

It is a very interesting play about a teenager boy and his relationship with his psychiatrist, while together they try to establish a trusting relationship so they can understand why he is in the pshychiatric institution.

If this was a little to bleak, then it is relevant to say that the boy's character was written to be naked half of the time, riding a horse or making out with his girlfriend. Homosexual sparks fly all over from every single corner of the stage, but at the same time if it is staged correctly, it can be a very fascinating play. Because of its sexual content it was quite shocking when it was written... I wonder if it will be any surprising now that we see sex in every single corner and homosexuality is not as heavy an issue as it used to be.

It is a very mind oriented play, so if you don't like long, complicated monologues.... you can always focus on trying to count the kid's chest hairs. A win-win situation. :p

RE: Equus

It almost seems like there is some level of beastiality implied in the play. That part freaks me out, and not in a good way. LOL

I'd probably still go to see it if I had the chance though, just because it has Daniel Radcliffe. It'd be interesting to see how his acting is outside of the Harry Potter movies. Although he's the main character in those movies, I think that it is usually the other actors and the story itself that steals the show.

Maybe it's me, but Daniel Radcliffe, especially in these photos, looks a lot like someone who could pass for Ryan Seacrest's younger brother. If I had to fuck a twink-look, neither of these guys could get my dick hard. But, then again, I don't find Justin Timberlake attractive, either.

This agreeing with Rock Hard stuff has got to stop! What is it, Valentine's Day or something? Next thing people will be accusing me of having something going on the side!

I think Justin is sexy, but it doesn't work for me. The Potter kid, well, someone else can have him too! I want Brad!

The play is actually pretty great. Peter Shaffer wrote it. He's the same guy that brought us Amadeus and Lettice and Lovage. Alan Strang, (the Daniel Radcliffe role) gets most of the attention because it involves nudity but the main character is really his psychiatrist. The man is having a midlife crisis/crisis of conscience he's questioning whether his life's work, "making kids normal", is right. He's about to throw in the towel when he's presented with the Strang case. Seems the boy blinded six horses and is now mute except for singing commercial jingles.

The movie version is pretty great too with Richard Burton as the shrink.

The last revival of this play in the US featured Randy Harrison in the Alan Strang role.

This was one of the first plays(as opposed to musicals) that I saw and it was really riveting. I went in not really knowing much if anything about it and was almost mesmerized. I didn't see it on Broadway - saw it in SFO at ACT with Harry Hamlin and Peter Donat in the mid 70's I think, so don't know whether the staging was the same or not, but will definitely see it again. Wonder whether they will bring it back to Broadway with Daniel after London.

The staging on Broadway was spectacular as well. Anthony Hopkins played the shrink, Peter Firth the boy. I am enjoying the Radcliffe pictures, but Firth was the definitive cute, but mad, twink back in 1974-75.

If you take away the staging, nudity and stars (Richard Burton and Anthony Perkins also played the lead role in New York), I am not sure the play makes all that much sense. The London producers must know that, thus all the Radcliffe photos.

RE: Daniel Radcliffe: Here's One for Trunk Lovers

Lucky,

I just posted above about the original Broadway production of "Equus" with Hopkins and Firth. You and I seem to be the only people on this site who see Broadway shows regularly. If you did not see "Equus," I am going to feel very old.

On Justin's sexy rating, I would not rate him very high either. But I am going to see his concert in Philadelphia in March, just to see and hear what he's like in person.

I agree...it's so hot to see a "twink" type who's hairy. That's what Derek looked like when I met him; he had a fine dusting of silky soft hair on his tight little frame. :9
