Just don't text things like: "hi", or "what's up".

I struggle with this as well. I texted JayAlexander twice while he was in town and he didn't text me back either time. Once was a few days before he came and the second was while he was in town. Oh well, maybe with him he truly was very busy and it just slipped through the cracks. I just really wanted him to slip through mine.

Asking a service provider if he’s free seems nonsense. Try being a bit more specific: “I’d like to arrange an hour with you this Friday night at my place.”

I agree with @instudiocity, specify where you want to meet, so that he doesn’t have to ask you.

Also right now, everybody spends time with family so that may be why you are not getting many replies these days.

For me, I look for a name - that gets the most attention from me. Then, either some sort of greeting or request about meeting. What you listed here is PERFECT (for me) for an intro text. Variations are welcome, of course, but I don't even bother to respond to messages that don't go beyond "hey" or "avail?" When I text an escort, for the first time I let them know what in their profile attracted me to them. Their pics, what there in to. I then describe a little about my self. I then repeat my phone number and I do sign off with my first name.

When potential clients text me "hi. how are you? Are you available today or tomorrow?", I am looking at the text like should I respond OR just let it go to the deleted pile? I could be at daytime work, relaxing at home or at a friend's and to now get a text like that, as if I am suppose to drop everything I am doing and entertain them, I am thinking "yeah this one is gonna be a peace of work or drama so avoid!

 

As a customer and after READING the ENTIRE profile and COMPREHEND what they do, I state my name, salute him, STATE what I am looking for and ask for AVAILABILITY, not STATE your NEEDS and WANTS without a SIMPLE conversation to get an idea!!!

Also as a matter of common sense they should ask for more pictures up front and not at the end of the conversation.

 

I would also suggest considering most escorts in big cities DON'T have cars, if they're near Dulles Airport they should say right upfront: "Hi, do you come to Dulles?".

I'd say send three short texts:

1) Hi, I'm JohnDoe, discreet married 60ish (or any relevant indentifying info), got your info from yyy.com. Hot zzz!

2) Are you available now/later/00.00pm for incall/outcall at [insert location]?

3) I'm a top/bottom/oral only/vers/etc looking for [insert a few details here]. Thanks!

I have a detailed section on my profile of how to contact me and my available days/ time. Hoping it will make thing easier before a potential client contacts me.... It does not ..LOL .....I prefer direct to the point texts. I ask them in my profile to please tell me they read my ad on " RentMen or RentMasseur.... That rarely happens. I get a lot of "Hey, are you available this evening around such and such time? " (less than 1 hour or 2 hours from that point. No time for me to get ready. Bottom provider ) Or "Liked your Ad" ... with no other information. I always respond to all of my text. What I dislike is after a few texts back and forth with a potential client my answers. If it's not what they want to hear, they do not text back... that is annoying.

With RentMen's changes and a lot of guys being really cagey about it, I almost always ask what their rate is. To me, that's a big factor and wayyyyy too many guys don't have anything even hinting at a rate. There are some guys who are hot as fuck who are a lot cheaper than some uggo charging $300 an hour. I often don't get a response to that, so maybe I'm just obtuse. I'll usually say something like "Hi, saw your ad on ______ What are your rates?".

In the opening text, I tell them when and where and for how long. I also reference something in their ad. I just messaged one that I liked his “can be rough”! This approach has worked well.

I always text. I include my 1st name and mention if I'm first time client.

I ask if they are taking appointments e.g. tomorrow afternoon, and if they have any time available to schedule me.

 

So many pitfalls and miscommunications with emails and texting that I try to keep messages brief, and to the point. I haven't tried calling. Maybe I should try that.
