The Death of Andy Dill, Escort/Film Star and Director/Producer, SF

I hesitated to write this thread but thought it best to do so. This morning I received an email from http://www.FactoryVideo.com where I was apprised of its most recent offerings. As I scrolled the site, I came to the announcement of Andy Dill's death which saddened me very much. I viewed and read the brief memorials to him and began to reflect on a very warm and personable and caring human being whom I had met and corresponded periodically.

 

My condolences to his family and good friends.

Not a good week for the porn industry.

 

Some of you may have known Rocky, a muscular little guy who sometimes advertised on Rentboy. He passed away Thursday.

 

I knew him loosely from various fund raisers where he was always cheerful and friendly (and oh, so sexy!). He'll be missed.

I think I erred: the website should have been listed as http://www.FactoryVideoProductions.com instead of just FV. If this is incorrect, I give up.

So sorry to hear about Rocky. I met him once at an event myself. Such a cute guy and so young.

Perhaps I should have retitled the thread then the other responses would definitely have been in keeping with the subject line.

 

I do not demean, discount, or dismiss the other deaths mentioned in some of the preceding responses, but that WAS NOT to intent of my beginning this PARTICULAR thread. I principally wanted you guys to respond about the sudden and unexpected death of Andy Dill!

I extend my condolences to you and anyone else who knew Andy Dill. I did not but I remember reading about him on the old HooBoy site where I believe he was reviewed very positively by some of his clients.

 

I only know of one person personally who contracted meningitis and this was over 30 years ago but I know it is a deadly disease and often misdiagnosed in the early stages when it can be cured. Left untreated or improperly treated, it is a quick killer. :-(

Very sad news indeed. Andy was a great guy, true professional, always trying to bring integrity to both escorting and porn, and doing a damn good job with it. His smiling (and sexy) face will definitely be missed.
