Huh. I only really know the NYC scene, so can’t say how it differs elsewhere, but a number of guys I’ve met here have reached out afterwards, kept in touch, let me know about travel schedules, etc. But that applies to visitors as well as to local providers; so really, I’m inclined to think that the tendency to “cultivate” good clients is based more on individual provider personality and business philosophy, and less on geography. Interesting question, though, and I hope we’ll see other responses.

Did you read this in one of those 5-page long nightlife “publications” in Ft Lauderdale? I don’t think any of the above is specific nor has any relevance to NYC. Any provider in any city would be wise to hang onto good clients if he wants to earn a living. Consistent and trusted regulars should always take precedence. Client “obsession” varies but I foresee that being an issue in a city where the escort market isn’t so oversaturared, so it’s hard to find a duplicate of what one client so aggressively fancies. Whereas in NYC, if an escort that ticks all of a client’s visuals cues is not accessible. Voila! A quick search will yield 50 more locally.

I agree with @hypothetically It is all relative to population density. The more the merrier. The distinction is the same.

My impression of day-to-day life in NYC is that it's pretty fast, more so than other parts of the country. Maybe in NYC, people are distracted enough by getting on to the next thing that they don't sit around ruminating much.

That is exactly what I have been experiencing ever since I started doing this line of work. Vegas itself is a very unique market and I have a handful of clients here, maybe 10 appointments A YEAR! Obviously, most people come to visit this city for convention or vacation and that's when I meet them (with the exception of me freelancing in certain other cities). Many escorts are here to turn a quick dollar but never care to put in an effort into providing a quality service (exceptions always apply of course) but what these guys forget is that even though someone only comes once a year, that is one regular he may gain and if he just finds one guy every day who comes only once a year, then in a year this escort will gain 365 regulars and those people may keep him busy for life. In a lucky scenario, this gentleman may even fly you out where he lives or you may take trips with him... So, yes... it is defintiely not a geographical thing, especially not in my case. If you build a great relationship with a client and there is a mutual desire to spend time together, you will find a way to make it happen wherever in the world you both are!
