You have got to fucking be kidding me? No liquids?!?!?!? At least we're not Britain, they don't even get to have their electronics on board.

The moment I read of the hair-gel ban I thought of you, handsome. I guess all your travel plans for the upcoming week will be suspended. :-)

I will miss you in Europe.

ps Keep talking about inferior sites. They're so much fun when they get really mad.

This should be amusing ... http://scottadler.blogspot.com/

Ugh and P.S. As explained already that was taken out of context. And so again (not for you Rocky because I know you are smart enough to know what I meant) but for others less intelligently inclined, I love MER. It's a great site. Referring to it as inferior, as always, there was a CONTEXT ... And that context was in the respect of NUMBER of available reviews. I'm sure in the near future it will gain more momentum. Until then it still has to be said that the content at M4M and that will transfer to Daddy's place is just a more ample and thus in this respect superior product. Again, CONTEXT.

Context or not, MER is inferior, dear. To many of us it will always be the place where the "rejects" congregate.

The liquids part doesn't bother me so much. I'm already a pretty light traveler and don't take much in the way of liquids anyway, partly because of the packing problem you mentioned in your blog. I've always been the sort that picks up travel-sized stuff at the destination and discards whatever's left when I leave. There's just less crap to carry.

This will create a boom in business for airport shops (and hotel gift shops) for exactly those sorts of things.

For longer flights, yes it's more of a problem. And for flights where they don't feed you it's going to be uncomfortable.

Flights leaving the UK, though, are even more strict. They're basically being allowed a zip-lock baggie with ID in it. No IPOD, nada.

I've hated flying the last few years *anyway* (partly because I spent the lion's share of 10 years on the road), and now I'm even less inclined. At this point, I'm willing to avoid going anywhere I can't drive (and then I can contend with rising gas prices <wild cackle>).

the andrew sullivan website reported on exactly what the liquids were and do:

by mixing two liquids together a variant of the famous ZYKLON B gas is created. a hydrogen-cyanide gas that would quickly kill everyone on board including the piolets so that the planes would then crash. the muslim terrorists would then be happy in heaven with their 72 virgins and the nonbelieving infidels would be in hell.

this is a cheap easy way to kill anyone in an enclosed space with the gas.

NBC intentionally didn't disclose the chemicals involved.

After 9/11 my blood ran cold when I realized they'd intentionally picked planes loaded with fuel for a cross-country flight. (Anyone notice the date? 9/11 is coming up soon!)

This time, it appears they were trying to drop empty planes on approach to major airports. Accuracy wouldn't matter. Sure a direct hit on LAX would be devastating, but a near miss would be too. It would take out a huge chunk of the city.

This shit is scary.

Out of curiosity, how many of us live in approach path for a major airport? (I'm in the path for both LAX and BUR.)

And it's completley classless and rude to post that HERE where the people you're talking about cannot (or will not, which is the majority) respond. This is really a low point for a self-purportedly classy guy, Rock.

NOTE: this is NOT a request from a site admin. This is a personal request:

Please take any issues you have with MER over to MER, where they have a chance to respond. It's the only fair thing to do.

Thanks!

Scott - would you please engage that word wrap thingy on your computer. Every message from you runs off the page and it is annoying to have to shift over to read them all. Yours is the only one that does this and it just started after the new forum site was initiated.

Thanks

Possibly - but it could be the death of duty free shops.

RE: Dear deej.

"I'm not buying his story any more than anyone else"

"Were you expecting me to read all that crap? I stopped about two sentences in. Blah blah blah. Blah blah blah. Blah blah blah. Blah blah blah. Blah blah blah. Save your haughty pretense for someone that cares."

My dearest deej,

The above quotes were your (rude, classless and obnoxious) way of welcoming me to this beloved forum. Prior to these comments, I had NEVER directed any unkind word toward you, yet your unkind rudeness persisted and rarely relented in the months that followed. Please don't EVER lecture me on the definition of rude and classless behavior because the many examples you provide on this forum are the examples of a hypocrite, and one I wish NOT to emulate.

And, furthermore, I completely disagree with your contention. I shall speak my honest feelings in The Lounge on any permitted subject until I am told by Daddy that the subject is off limits. Please spare me your control issues, as well.

"Please take any issues you have with MER over to MER, where they have a chance to respond. It's the only fair thing to do.

I am not a member of MER and nor will I EVER be. They are free to write about me and any other person who contributes here without fair response. Please spare me any of your finger-wagging definitions of "fair." From my purview, you stand in stark contradiction when it comes to the subject of censorship (and other things). As far as I'm concerned, the subject of MER is open season in The Lounge, as are many other subjects that relate to the men who read this forum and the world of escorting.

Unless I hear otherwise from the owner of this forum, I shall continue to post my honest feelings and you are free to judge and criticize them as you always have.

Sincerely,

Rock

Zipper,

This issue has nothing to do with the new forum or with Scott's computer. It has to do with the looong link to the cached reviews in his signature. There is an easy way to correct that using html codes or you can skip his postings as I do. ;)

Just read your 10 August blog. Hmmm....are you writing the next Oliver Stone movie? :-)

Oh...and as far as not having hair gel on board for those long flights, be suspicious if the lavatories start backing up with long lines. (For those that don't get it, remember the movie 'There's something about Mary'?)

Anyone notice the proposed DATE that was thwarted? 8/10? I think I've already nixed all travel plans for 7/9 next year just to be safe. ;)

Thankfully West Hollywood is convenient to both but close to neither. It's being ON the planes that scares me these days.

I'm genuinely sorry and looking into it. It's been pointed out to me but unfortunately unless someone gives me directions (that work) to fix it I have no other choice as this is the only place I advertise/have links to reviews that most of my clients look for.

If anyone else has an idea that will work AND keep my link in my signature I'm all ears ... huge ears even. Now do you all understand why my hair stays long?

You could replace the unwieldy URL with a short redirecting

one from tinyurl.com . It works, and it's free.

Or simply using the command Click here

I think I'll stick to driving. ;-) Although, truth be to tell, you probably take your life in your hands more every time you get on the 405 than on ANY flight. ;-)

I will be damned if these religious, fanatic, assholes are going to keep me from living my life the way I choose. I am retired and travel frequently for pleasure AND INTEND TO CONTINUE TO DO SO. I hate waiting in airports to retrieve my luggage so I always try to travel with carry-on baggage only. In the future I will either have to check my bag with my toiletries or go with carry-on without my toiletries and purchase new items at my destination. Right now I think I will do the latter rather than the former.

I believe the actual date was to be 8/16 based on what I have read this morning. The 8/10 date was to be a dry run. There were arrests in Pakistan two weeks ago that may have spooked them to go full bore this week. Fortunately, we got lucky and thousands of lives were spared.

Thanks NN! You're definitely worked but the reason why IFW's probably didn't is because the signature might not allow HTML code.

Regardless without yours it couldn't have worked because of the signature character max. I already knew about HTML referrals but figured out they don't appear to work in the signature :(
