I remember Aaron Lawrence wrote in his book that he once had an appointment and all the client wanted to do was talk him out of being an escort.

Back in the day I was asked WHY I escorted...and if someone wanted to preach at me for an hour, I'd sit through it if their money was good.

I didn't need to be -- or want to be -- "saved" from hustling, though. The money was too good, and I had too much fun doing it.

I once, in the after talk, mentioned to a guy he should have an exit plan. I don't know why I said it, it just came out. Many months later, I got an email that he had bought "another" apartment to rent out. Lesson learned, never give unsolicited advice.

If anything, the exact opposite. I see so many guys who are wasting their looks and talents "flipping burgers".

In this thread, there is mention about escorts wearing their demands on their sleeves. Unless a guy truly wants to escort and spend time with a variety of men, monetizing one's looks will probably not result in a great experience for the client.

Theres an implicit disapproval in these attempts by clients to "help" men who are perfectly capable of making sound choices without any help.

Could not have said it better myself.

But isn't that a good thing? He thought about your advice and took a reasonable action based on it.

My interpretation of this exchange is that the escort already had an exit plan and was annoyed enough at the exchange to have remembered it for months afterward, based on the use of the quoted word in the phrase "another" apartment to rent out , from which I inferred that the escort already owned at least one apartment at the time of the discussion. And I think that's what bashful was driving at.

I also don't believe in giving unsolicited advice, but sometimes, there's a happy ending when you do.

We've exchanged emails occasionally over the last couple of years, so I knew, and saw pics, when he bought his first apt., where he lives. It was a suprise when he emailed me about the 2nd purchase, and although we never discuss his future plans, I was happy he is investing his money. He was way ahead of me regarding the his future state, so my comment to him about needing an exit plan was not needed.

Yes some have even said when am I going to find a real job :( I mean if you are that worried about me escorting then match what I get paid each month then you can have your opinion and Iwill completely stop escorting... after you say those words to them they will have nothing else to say ever again because it is rare 1 client can support an escort 100 percent so we have to have multiple clients to survive....

another tried to stop escorting but that was because he was in love with me and wanted me all to himself lol

That's a really disgusting thing for a client to say. It's the highest form of arrogance and hypocrisy to be funding a trade which you openly show contempt for.

“And how would that benefit me?” is my default response to being talked out of escorting by clients, because it usually involves a “lavish” life with said client which is slang for imprisonment and death by boredom.

Sometimes. But sometimes that sort of client just wants to covertly express disapproval of the escort's way of making a living, even though the client himself is a patron.
