the older man tried to grab his privates

The victim allegedly started rubbing Tracy’s legs then moved his hands closer to his groin and confessed to molesting him as he slept, the source said.

When the competitive bodybuilder resisted the creepy advances, Kanczes allegedly blocked the front door and threatened to kidnap him, according to the source.

The article title calls this "sexual advances" which is incredibly misleading.

Country bumpkin or no country bumpkin, what happened here is pretty clear grounds for self-defense by any means necessary. The above text makes it clear that Kanczes

* sexually assaulted him while he slept

* tried to do it again

* prevented him from leaving

* threatened to kidnap him

Additionally, this article

http://www.nydailynews.com/new-york/nyc-crime/ny-metro-california-bodybuilder-stabs-man-20180815-story.html

tells us that

* according to the defense lawyers, Kanczes also tried to drug him

* just prior to the stabbings, Kanczes not only blocked the way out of the apartment but said "that he had a gun, that he has the means to cut off his WiFi and his contact with the world"

While I agree that 16 stabs sounds like a lot, if you are legitimately fearing for your life -- which many of us would be in that situation -- the fight-or-flight instinct can be pretty overwhelming. The number of stabs is the only thing here that is even remotely questionable, but stabs can be fast -- it really does sound like this happened in a flash.

And that doesn't even get into the fact that Kanczes and his friends deliberately and (as it looks right now) fraudulently engineered the whole situation.

This is classic abuser behavior. The only thing unusual here is that the abuser didn't get away with it -- perhaps this demonstrates why this kind of abuse is usually directed at people who are smaller or weaker than the abuser. (And if they can't find at least one person on a NYC jury who can understand that, something is very wrong.)

Don't these strippers make enough money to get their own hotel room? I agree he isn't the hottest one out there, but he should have made $$$

I don't get it. Why did he stay at the dingy apartment with the leacherous old geezer?

At least he didn't kill him and cut his testicles off, like that other nutcase did at a Hell's Kitchen hotel.

Boy.... I read both articles. Remember the defense attorney will certainly pose his clients side of the story as a victim. I dont buy it. Oh, being molested...yes, that makes sense from the old guzzard. Holding him against his will?? Was he tied up with wrist bruises? Was there any drugs in his system showing a drugging?

Fake news. If I was on the jury a massive young powerful buck against a 50 year old with the only means of escape is 16 stabbings to the person, would hold no water with me. A tussle, a few bruises on both parties and the massive young bodybuilder escaping makes sense. Other story makes no sense to me as the only form of defense.

What possibly happened was the young bull

had enough as a straight guy living his life in a gay world. Gay world job, gay world living. This can affect alot of straight guys. I've seen it for my own eyes. The bodybuilder snapped and took out his rage on the old pervert.

The media nowadays loves to form stories with subjective wordings and phrasings as truth. We see it everyday.

Yes, that’s him.

I thought so too. Jeez. I know from an escort friend that Tim de Iturriaga/Adonis are very aggressive in trying to recruit guys to dance at their events. Was Mr. Kanzces, the old geezer, an agent for Tim? Does Tim pay out referral fees?

If the perpetrator was indeed both straight and 'new' to this, I can imagine he didn't quite enjoy standing at an Adonis event in his skivvies, hustling for customers, having his testicles and his dick fondled, his ass crack probed - or more - which is what happens in the champagne rooms …

His apartment was reported to be near 49th St and 9th Ave in Hell's Kitchen. That's a bad hood?

It's called HK for a reason  Lived here my whole life and (while there are lovely apts and buildings EVERYWHERE including there) what you walk out INTO once you leave them is what determines the cost. And while yes there is no longer any such thing as a BAD hood in Manhattan ala the S. Bronx in the 1970's, 8th 9th ave in the 40's is still more dirty and more ghetto. It just is. There are still a few hold out SRO buildings where four apts share a hall bathroom and Section 8 bldngs and a street element due to the proximity to Port Authority and those who call the terminal "home" that makes it not so good. Don't get me wrong, I have buds who pay 2,300 for dark 5th flr 1BR walk ups and they're building high rise condos that start at 900K for a studio (that no one FROM here would buy) It HAS come up, I lived right there on W45 for years, my crappy bldng is now a coop, and the Times Sq of Midnight Cowboy IS a thing of the past. And Manhattan Plaza on 9th subsidized high rises built JUST for performers (you must be in a performing union acting music writing or stage hand and tech etc to qualify and the bulk of your income must come from that AND you can spend a decade on a waiting list before your name comes up my bud waited TWELVE years) but they're worth he has a great apt he can never be thrown out his rent adjusted to his income or lack of. But while we may walk out of his lobby with a retired star or dancers currently in Broadway shows, we walk out into a mix of others like them AND the dirty smelly dregs of humanity. It's no diff than anywhere else. What makes a hood a mecca to VISIT (a transportation hub, Times Square, Theater District, Restaurant Row etc) makes it a less desirable place to LIVE. *for natives

D@mn. Looks to me like there's some definite crazy goin' on behind Geoffrey Tracy's eyes.

(Disclaimer: I am in no way judging him or Gregory Kanczes or the situation in which they find themselves...merely an observation

from someone with some...shall we say "experience"...meeting men based off their pictures. LOL!)

Any updates on this case?

I was wondering about that too …

According the NYS Department of Corrections, inmate locator website, bail was paid on Aug 22

(enter Geoffrey Tracy)

The dude has money or has friends with money. I DID think I saw him at TMPL gym in HK the other day, but I wasn't sure. His Instagram profile confirms it though

And the man who was stabbed? Is he alive? I’ve not seen anything in The NY Times regarding this story.

B

A Google search on the alleged stabbing victim, Mr. Gregory Kanczes, does not yield any results other than the August 15 press articles in in the NY Post and the NY Daily News describing him being in critical but stable condition at Belleview.

After his bail was paid on August 22nd, as shown in public records listed above, Mr. Geoffrey Tracy, the alleged perpetrator, was seen by yours truly at TMPL gym in HK. This is a matter of interpretation and judgment, but I did find it a bit perplexing to observe him working out, in the most scant of outfits, attracting the attention of some of the more 'mature' male clients at TMPL. I would imagine that him being out on bail would (1) require him to stay in New York State and (2) preclude him from posting a escort ad. Even in the absence of an ad, it would appear that Mr. Tracy does not have problems attracting the attention of appreciative male clients. Are we headed for an encore?

Maybe it’s the fact that he stabbed a guy 50 times, but something tells me that he’s not really comfortable with his sexuality. Not enough to be looking for male clients. Believe it are not, some guys just like showing off, and are not looking for anything more.

And if he’s doing business, and anyone is dumb enough to hire him, I hope they don’t post about it here.
