I will not have oral sex with an escort wearing a condom. That's not going to happen. Call me stupid, ignorant, slut but it ain't gonna happen.
Like he says.

Now, I kind of understand that an escort might ask ME to wear a condom when HE is sucking my dick, and it has happened a couple of times, but could someone please explain the logic behind an escort wanting to bag HIS dick when it is ME giving HIM head? What is he afraid of? I honestly do not get it.

Happened to me once. I assumed (for a number of reasons) that the guy was naive and new. I told him it made no sense to me why he’d need to wrap to protect himself from my mouth. He stopped the practice.

I got gonorrhoea from being sucked by an escort. He must have had it at the back of his mouth, and it was not visible. It was treated easily, but I had a few painful days between the start of symptoms and the treatment clearing it up completely.

So you could definitely give an escort an std which you have in you mouth (from sucking someone else a few days ago) and maybe you don’t even know it yet.

If that happened to him in the past, he may be trying to avoid a repeat.

There are several STIs that transmit very easily via unprotected oral sex and are generally asymptomatic. A couple even can establish colonies in the throat such that they don't show up on standard urine or blood tests. That's why it's risky, especially with very high-risk populations like men-who-have-sex-with-men and escorts, to have unprotected oral sex. The risk grows further now that there are highly resistant strains in the wild for these easily transmitted STIs.

I say all of this as a guy who loves to suck cock and I love to swallow cum too. I am far more careful in 2018 in Southern California than I used to be because the local populations have some very high rates of infection. I get comprehensive testing every 6 months, but I am very cautious about who I engage in oral sex with and when. For escorts, I have frank conversations with them and we're both highly informed. I sometimes use condoms during oral sex. It just depends on the particulars of the situation.

Thanks for the explanation, @Tarte Gogo. I honestly didn’t know this could happen.

Chlamydia, gonorrhea, and syphilis are all easily transmittable via unprotected oral sex. So are Herpes and HPV. There have also been cases of HIV via oral sex, though HIV transmission via oral is difficult. We are seeing an "explosion" in cases of chlamydia, gonorrhea, and syphilis because of the significant increase in people--especially MSM (Men who have Sex with Men)--who have unprotected oral sex and how frequently men are asymptomatic. San Francisco public health officials are now recommending comprehensive testing every 3 months for the MSM community just because of how pervasive these infectious agents are in this demographic.

"According to a recent report, sexually transmitted disease (STD) diagnoses reached record highs in the state of California in 2017. Released by the California Department of Public Health (CDPH), the data revealed a 45 percent increase in cases compared to data from five years ago."

I mean....there IS a syphilis epidemic in the gay community as well as a list of other traditional STDs in a growth pattern with men-who-like-men....so I would say that's pretty responsible and attractive to me to have someone who is clearly taking all the measures possible to assure his clients a 100% problem-free environment.

I work in a local Public Health lab (but not the STD clinic). I just want to second everything that has been said before:

1. Most people with STD's are asymptomatic. You may not see warts, rashes, etc. but you can still catch the disease.

2. STD's are not a joke. Before antibiotics were invented syphilis was considered a progressive, potentially fatal disease. There have been case reports of people dying from gonorrhea (in very rare cases it spreads to the blood).

3. Every STD clinic will tell you to always wear protection. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.

Just my 2 cents worth

I'm running into a lot more "hands only" bi guys cruising lately.

If you're in a large metro area with a sizable bi or gay population, that's a pretty smart choice given the substantial increase in chlamydia, gonorrhea, and syphilis in those populations. Men are frequently asymptomatic and all of those also have high-resistant strains in the real world. These infections are no longer just a nuisance. They're a real and serious problem because far too many guys go from one hook-up to another on the various hook-up apps and they frequently don't use condoms for oral, vaginal, or anal sex.
