Have you mistakenly hired the same escort?

I have - three times - but I don’t think it was my mistake. Each time, the escort used different names and pics

The first time it happened, the provider wouldn’t admit he was the same person. He claimed he was a cousin of the “other” escort.

The second and third time, the escorts used other people’s pics in their ads.

Ouch. Did you send him packing?

I have. Enjoyed the heck out of him the first time and lamented that his ads had disappeared. When new ads with different name and pics appeared I didn’t make the connection until I opened the door. His face lit up as much as mine.

But that’s the only time.

Sure did. Same dude, twice, about 5 years apart. He had changed his appearance somewhat, moved to a different city, and new pictures. Once I arrived the second time, it was too late to back out. He was so-so. About a year later, the mayor of a small town was arrested for having sex with the dude. Of course the escort’s real name was published, and somehow the news got ahold of his RM photos. Turned out the guy had quite a criminal history. Scary? A little.

Yes. It was back in the pre-Internet days, when I hired from print ads with no photos. The first time I hired him in NYC in 1983, he made little impression, because although he was young, good-looking and had a beautiful body, he was bland and disengaged. More than a year later, he had a different ad with a different name, and when I arrived at his place, I recognized both it and him. I told him about the previous meeting, but he denied that he was the same guy and threatened to beat me up (he was an impressive physical specimen) if I didn't go through with the appointment, so I acquiesced, and it was actually more exciting sex than the first time. A couple of years later, while visiting SF, I answered an ad with another name, and when the door opened, there he was again. He was even more muscular than before. This time neither of us gave any indication that we recognized one another, and the sex was fantastic. Three years later, back in NYC, a fourth ad with yet another name. This time the sex wasn't as good, but at the end we both admitted that we recognized one another from the previous meetings. Almost two years later, in NYC, another ad with another name, and this time I felt certain it would be him again, but there were no other interesting options, so I called and made an appt. When he arrived, we both acknowledged our history in a friendly manner. However, by then he had bulked up so much that I no longer found him that attractive, and the sex was not satisfying. After that, whenever I thought there was any possibility that an ad would be his, I avoided him.

1983: "Burt"--NYC; young, handsome, beautiful body, but bland and disengaged

1984: "Clete"--NYC; still young and attractive, but when I realize I have hired him before and try to back out, he denies having met, becomes belligerent and threatens physical harm unless I go through with it; the sex is much more exciting than the first time

1986: "Brett"--SF; much more muscular than before; when he opens the door, neither of us acknowledges the previous meetings in NYC; the sex is fantastic

1989: "Rake"--NYC; even more muscular; at the end of the appt, we both finally admit that we remember one another from before; the sex is just OK

1990: "Rhett"--NYC; by now, I feel sure it's going to be the same guy, but there are no other good options; he is friendly on arrival, but so bulked up that I no longer find him very attractive;

sex is boring

Of course, all these episodes took place back in the pre-Internet days when I hired from print ads with no photos, and made the appts by phone.

What were the rates back in the 80s?

No, but I have changed my own identity to see someone since I burned my bridge before an initial encounter. "You have a woman's name, and I don't see women", he texted. I texted back, "I am a man with a predominantly female name, not my fault." He was the only person I saw who wanted to arrange a follow-up appointment before I left. I wasn't interested.

Years ago, while visiting in San Diego - again, as stated in previous post, ads in papers did not have a photo. Not familiar with area addresses - so when I made contact for 2nd time, didn't remember it was just a street or two away from the first encounter. When he answered the door, the light in the stairwell was dim, so I didn't make the connection until I got inside and could see him enough to realize we had met before. I doubt he remembered me - at least he didn't acknowledge we had. Went through with the 2nd session, and since we did different activities, it was an equally enjoyable time.

This thread bringing back some memories - I contacted a service provider in the lower unit in a fourplex in the Fairfax district of LA and had an enjoyable time. Connected on a more personal level. Maybe 6 months later, back to same address, but this time it was for the upstairs unit. Turned out it was the same guy - he was using a roommate's bedroom upstairs to "entertain". Had an extended session and helped him out with extra funds for a trip he needed to take to Arizona to see family.
