A not for profit art group called "In the Mix" sent disposable cameras to 150 celebrities and porn guys to take pics of whatever they wanted. The undeveloped cameras are now being auctioned on ebay with %100 of the take go to "In THe Mix"

I took mine out to California and had some fun with Blake Harper!

Go here to bid: http://cgi.ebay.com/Jake-Deckard-photo-negatives-autographed_W0QQitemZ7029653806QQcategoryZ323QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

I clicked on this address and it brought up what looked to be an ebay page. Then it asked me to sign in to ebay with my user id and password.

Then it asked for credit card information, at which point I logged out

of the system. Made me a little hesitant to give out such info just to

look at an item up for bid. Be somewhat careful------

I clicked on the above address and it took me straight to my e-bay page for login. Clever, isn't it? It would seem to be on the up-and-up to me. P.S. If you are already an e-bay member, they already have your credit card info and it is encrypted info and very safe. After all, e-bay is larger than many US banks, just think about it!

It's always good to be careful but I don't think Jake is trying to steal people's ebay passwords. They ask you to sign-in because it's adult-oriented material. I give the Munroe Seal of Ass-proval. (And now I'm wondering if I should auction off our outtakes...) :p

RE: Be somewhat careful?

Are you kidding me?

If my eye sight isn't completely shot, I thought I read you're bidding on an "undeveloped disposable camera." I think that means there are no previews to the images. How could there be if the film hasn't been developed?

Please, someone tell me if I missed something here.

The reason that ebay is asking for CC info is because they put all the pornstar cameras in the "Adult" section. If it makes you feel better, go directly to ebays website ( http://www.ebay.com ) andenter item number 7029653806 THat way you know that you are not being phished.

And yes, the film is undeveloped. The point is you don't know what you are getting, all you know is who they were taken by. It's a little peek into the personal life the people that took the photos. Heres more about it: http://www.mixnyc.org/NakedEyeBenefit/BenefitInfoandNames.html

How does that go? "A pig in the poke is worth 2 in the bush".

I'm mixing my metaphors but it still sounds hot!

>From what I hear, that is a very coveted seal.

Doesn't "seal" imply something that's closed? May not be the best word to apply here. Word has it that it can be broken with a tongue.

My description is: "Jake Deckard and Blake Harper having some fun." I'll say there are some sex shots, and also a few behind the scene shots from my last video with Titan, called "Hitchen'"

To say anymore would spoil the surprise. The point is not to know. If it's really that important, ya prolly shouldn't bid. They are just snapshots on a disposable camera.

"They are just snapshots on a disposable camera."

That's sort of what Martha Stewart said about certain emails from Peter Bacanovic.

It might be a good idea to provide a Service Bureau recommendation before the winner goes to WalMart to have those pics developed. I've heard of men going to jail for taking their undeveloped film to the wrong place.

Now, here's where the "be somewhat careful" advice can come in handy. Me thinks bigjake8 lives in a world where few tread: a world where everyone thinks like a New York sensual massage provider or a porn star.

Me thinks? When did the hooker forum evolve into Shakesperian drama?

I can assure you there is nothing on this camera that would get you thrown in jail. Blake and I are well into our 30's (I'm sure those arrested gentlemen preferred photos of a different age).

However, if Walmart is the only place you can get your film developed, you should probably not be worrying about what kind of world I live in. Save your bid money and consider moving to a larger town. }(

ROFL

Methinks several things, and the first is "Go girl!" LOL

But I can't say that, of course, because I'm not allowed to have an opinion around here. But if I was allowed to have an opinion around here it would still be:

GO GIRL!

LOL!

RE: Jail time.

"When did the hooker forum evolve into Shakesperian drama?"

Isn't Shakespeare the founding father of "drag queen?"

Actually, I was kidding about jail time, sort of.

The New Jersey man was arrested for taking artistic nudes of a young girl for his art class at NYC's ICP. The New Jersey authorities apparently didn't care that the young girl was the man's daughter. The burgeoning artist learned an embarrassing lesson during these conservative times; don't trust your local film lab, get the film developed in NYC.

Adult pornography can be illegal. It helps to know how your state defines "obscene" and "art." Since buyers have no clue what's on the roll of film, and that's part of the fun/mystery, I was simply trying to spare some poor, dumb, asshole from bidding high, winning, and then losing, so to speak.

Please don't try to convince me there are no dumb assholes out there. The Jersey man certainly thought he was smart.

Oh, and the other purpose of my post: to get a rise out of someone. I guess it worked, times two. :-)

ps Consider this my way of bringing more attention to "not for profit art." Hey, isn't that what they used to call graffiti?
