I sorry if this is the wrong place to ask this, but I'm just hoping for a bit of advice/input from anyone that has done cam work before.

I tried it out for like a week or so about a year ago, and although I did decently for that short amount of time, I ended up stopping since it just felt soo boring.. my next step was to start getting into escorting actually, haha. However I've had a bit extra free time as of late. Business has picked up a little bit lately but it's still be quite slow compared to what it was before the whole FOSTA thing. I've been thinking about trying it out again, but at the same time I really hate the part where like, you're expected to constantly be focused on your viewers, even if there are only a few at a time, and it basically seems like you get written off entirely if you are multitasking or doing anything else at all to pass the time while waiting for more interested people to show up. I'm very much on the fence about this so I thought I'd reach out here to see if anyone has any advice or experience to share, since I just hate the part of sitting around and waiting for anyone interested to show up. It's something I really wouldn't mind doing a small amount of here and there as a bit of extra income... it's just the sitting around and waiting part that really gets to me haha.

I'm not an escort, but I watch a fair amount of camming. It takes time to build a following of people who tune in when you cam. Some of the most successful ones I've seen chat with their viewers, telling them about their lives, what they are thinking. These men seem to have the most stable income as far as I can tell. PM me and I'll give you some links to some successful models, I would suggest watching them to see how they do and emulate what works for you.

I know this may not be your thing. I have seen some that just get on and jerk it, but but generally there are a lot of hot guys who talk, and that brings in the cash. It's (in my mind) a lot like escorting. You are there to show the client a good time, to seem to (or actually) make a connection. The viewers want that too. It's much more exciting for me when a guy talks to me or response in the chat, or even better gives me a PM.

I love watching cams, and it's exciting when the ones with viewership in the multi-thousands reply to a simple compliment from me. I don't know if I could ever bring myself to cam, as those that use hashtags for having tiny or small cocks are still at least a good inch longer than I am when fully hard. :( Then again, the market for cut guys who cam are vastly outnumbered by their uncut counterparts at a ratio of 1 to 14, so I would be a "rare breed".

I've also been thinking about the camming set up through RM... I just thought I should also ask if anyone has an experience with that using that site in particular, or if it's worth it compared to other sites like CB or Cam4? Thanks! I appreciate all the info I've been getting from this!

One of the things you should consider is viewer traffic. I don't know how many people watch the RM cams, Chaturbate seems the most popular now, so you're most likely to get viewers there.

There are apps that let a model broadcast on at least 2 sites, maybe more. I see a lot of guys on CB and Cam4 at the same time, same stream.

RentMenLive is a repackaged version of Flirt4Free, so it's not a dedicated site.

And F4F is very vigilant about its cammers not being "entrepreneurial"... so I suspect CB is probably your best bet.
