In all honesty - the DHS is just going their job, and technically the people that got caught were breaking the laws of the United States and terms of their ESTA.  Would this be any different if the people that got caught came from Colombia or Brazil? No.
I have had my fair share of being treated poorly the customs officers in few countries, namely Australia, despite not breaking any laws.  Entering someones country (other than your own)  is a privilege not a right.
My travel rule is simple, mainly because I hate problems at the airport : Understand the rules, and follow them.

It somewhat baffles me and and amazes me at the same time that I can ( at most US points of entry) just walk into the United States  with  just my face, at the machine.  Walk up to the machine, have the machine take my photo, walk though ( assuming the words "See officer" doesn't appear) .  Pre-covid, the machines would spit out a receipt that doesn't even happen anymore. No passport needed. Takes 1 minute, maybe 2 at most, almost no wait, Walk though.
This is a privilege I don't take for granted.  Most foreigners have to wait in line etc. Sometimes up to an hour.
At Heathrow specifically where I frequent  you do need to put your passport down on scanner, and depending on the terminal , the machines sometimes don't work - Terminal 3 ( which is used by Delta and Virgin) have the lower quality machines which tend to break down.  The machines take your photo. It's the same everywhere, in Dubai, Korea, Hong Kong , etc.  Brazil still has a photo from 13+ years ago when I first entered, it shows up on the screen ( this usually involves a chat with the officer about how I aged a little).
This is basically a fait accompli - the horse left the barn on this one.  It's 2022 - my photo is everywhere I have been, both old and new. Nothing I can do about it.  Everyone does this now.
They key is : Understand the rules and follow them. ( and you should be fine)

With all due respect, why is there "some privacy law being violated" because facial recognition is used by DHS and many other companies?
I travel a lot.  I am at an airport several time each month.
On my last twelve flights I did not have to show my boarding pass just before entering the aircraft from the U.S. side.
At the boarding area are signs telling you to lower any mask and look at the camera as you pass it.
The first time this happened with me, I felt uncomfortable thinking that my return flight would be canceled because I did not have my boarding pass scanned when I entered the aircraft.  The records could look as though I were a "no show" for my outgoing flight.
There was no problem with my return flight.
Technology has changed and advanced to a degree that many cannot fathom.
I do not see how privacy is being violated when the government has almost every adult photo in its data base.
Even photos from driver licenses are in many of the U.S. data bases.
Privacy is a word from history.  We have little privacy left, if any.
With regard to the guys from foreign countries who come to the U.S. and also have their face photo on a rentmen.eu advertisement, those guys should somehow get word out to each other to omit any face photo if they plan to visit the U.S.
    Words to the wise!

If the home office did this in the UK , most of  the Brazilian providers would disappear.
Fortunately we don’t send illegals to Rwanda which Britain does, we just send them home .

The last time I was in London a few weeks back , I stopped by twice over the span of a week.  There were a few twinky brazillains, one built guy, a mix . I personally like both dark and pasty white , there was a lovely Irish guy I very much enjoyed . Hes not the best looking dude in the line up but sometimes you find a diamond in the rough. He was a nice to spend an hour with. I also met up with a twinky Brazilian .  I topped both times .
I personally think the most fun aspect is just showing up and seeing who is there , there is fun in the unexpected. Pre booking takes away from that joy ( my personal opinion) Edmar mentioned that he is going to extend the operating hours this month.
It’s such a delight when you find a hit.

VG is lovely as ever . I popped by and all the rooms were occupied .  Still operating under limited hours , 1pm to 7pm .  The manager told me he’s looking to perhaps revert back to his post covid hours in November 2022.
There was a decent selection of “providers”  something for everyone. All the providers were vers on the day .  Best hour i’ve had in a long time , topping .
    Easy . Uncomplicated . Satisfying. 😎

As someone who rotates between London and New York quite regularly  over the past year ( though my travel patterns is slowing down now) , I noticed the following in 2022
    - Boys in New York cost more ( naturally). Rates have in fact fallen slightly.
    - Rates in London have largely held, much to my surprise, despite the cost of living crisis
    - There is a premium charge to host in New York. ( which is the opposite of what it is in London. People come from outside of London, and expect someone to host )
    - Almost no one in New York or the US uses whatapp to set up appointments  ever, which is almost mandatory in the UK. The guys in the US will use a messenger app instead.  Boys in the UK will often have two phones.
    - TOO MANY BRAZILLAINS IN LONDON. Which has its plusses and minuses.  Frankly I prefer hiring Brazillians in Brazil, but this isn't entirely a rule.
    - Foreigners ( largely Americans ) routinely get charged more in London, but since I am practically pseudo local at this point, I have largely avoided this.
    - New York has nice healthy mix still of different flavors / talent.
