I love NOLA and have gone there for years. The level of engagement by the boys at the bars seems to ebb and flow with the level of recent police enforcement. I have been there after a crackdown when nothing happened and I have been there when anything goes. I still like the Corner Pocket. It can be sketchy but occasionally there are some really good looking guys there. Rawhide can also be very good. You do need to keep up your awareness in NOLA on personal safety by watching your alcohol intake so you don’t get taken advantage of. I last went during Mardi Gras in 2020 just before the COVID disaster and shut down. I would love to hear an update from anyone that has been there lately. I love this town.

I posted on prostate cancer one other time. This is a tough topic because each situation is different. In my case I could have safely delayed treatments because of my low Gleason score but elected radiation. Not everyone has that option. Now I can say that even though I can still get an erection and usually orgasm, it is not the same. I think the right question is “how long can I safely delay treatment?” I now wish I would have delayed treatment and had continued my sex life as before - even if it was for a little while. I know this is not directly responding to your question but I would delay treatment with consultation with my doc.

I had a low Gleason score and had several options available including watchful waiting. I opted for radiation as I was a bit frightened to wait. Looking back now, while I still can ejaculate after treatment, it takes a long time to cum and I miss producing semen and having to explain to partners that “yes I did cum”. If I could do it over, I would have waited longer for treatment. I realize that is no always an option and is a very personal decision. I applaud your effort to get other points of view. Best wishes.
