Growing up we always had cats because my dad's maternal grandmother told him when he was a child that cats scared off evil spirits. I've always presumed that people who hate cats are no good and I avoid those people as much as possible.

As for cats being uncaring, that is simply not true. One cat stayed with my mom on her deathbed and would only move when a hospice nurse came to see her. On the morning my mom died he was licking her hand as if to comfort her as she took her last breaths.

Interesting. If this is a non-sexual Zoom session, according to his own description, I’m curious how he offers a boyfriend experience and why his physical description, including his 7” uncut dick, is relevant? ??‍♂️

Having been through harassment prevention training by HR I would not hook up with another coworker and definitely someone at a lower or higher level. Even if there is no issue between you and him; if someone else got wind of it, it could lead to issues...

And I would not hook up with a married guy (gay or straight); I wouldn’t want someone hooking up with my husband and that would end my marriage if that happened...

I used to have a workplace infatuation with a guy...
I had absolutely no intent on taking any action on it.

However, my fantasies all went down the drain in the men’s room.

My office had somewhat of a small men’s room.
I go in to wash my hands and I hear and smell the most explosive, foul, flatulence ever known to man!!!???.. it smelled like whomever was on that commode, had the diet of a possum!!!????

Then out of the stall, proudly walking out, after relieving himself of 10+ lbs of putrid waste was the “fantasy” dude!!!!???

My dreams were now a dream deferred.... ???

Hopefully your dreams will somehow get “deferred” too.

Then you’ll be able to focus and keep yourself out of trouble.

I do as a matter of courtesy. Believe it or not there are escorts who will not see clients of certain races or ethnicities. Don't take it personally just be grateful about missing out on an unpleasant or even demeaning encounter.

This is the only post in this thread that addresses the truth of the issue, a scientific study with hard statistics.

Anecdotes and personal feelings mean nothing. Yet people are ignoring the only solid piece of science here.

    Typical.

Sexual orientation, or sexual preference towards a gender, is scientifically proven to be genetic, metaphysical, and innate.

Racial preference, is scientifically, psychologically, and sociologically proven to be a learned behavior.

The two are not the same.

Believe it or not, your attraction to Latin men, is learned, and at some point in your life, the idea of Latin men being sexy, came from a source of influence.

I’m not saying this is good or bad, but you were not born with that preference.

If you actually care about the topic of racism you would do the research on your own. Otherwise you're just being complacent - which really was already established with your previously response.

How can one claim to not be racist while defining their "preferences" by race? Own it.

I’m not distorting this.... I’m examining it.

1.) Your Asian colleagues are not your friends. They are people whom you are pleasant, polite, and “nice” to. I’m sure they might not even know you’re gay, let alone know that you scoff are the mere idea of dating one of ....”them”... lol

2). Entertaining Asian customers is transactional, and has absolutely no relevance to this discussion.

3.) The core group of white guys, who you let your hair down with, keep it real with, and speak freely with are your friends...

And there’s nothing wrong with any of this......
Just don’t try and swerve around loosely using the word “friend”, with all of these groups of people

    THIS...

    Couldn’t have stated it better...

What’s scary isn’t the sexual preferences... what’s scary is the broadening trickle-down effect of every other aspect of life that’s impacted by these “preferences”.....It makes me think of:

1). A qualified Asian man who was turned down for a job he was overqualified for, because he wasn’t a “fit”, among the majority white organization... “just a preference”

2.) The many black small businesses who can’t get start up funding because someone behind the scene as a bank, turned down their loan due to a “gut feeling”. “Just a preference”

3.) The white juror, who gave a guilty verdict to an innocent Hispanic man, with no conclusive evidence, but because of his hunch and “feelings”, about immigrants ... “just a preference”

Racial preference, bigotry, bias, and discrimination, are rarely compartmentalized.

And most white men, who say they don’t like Asians, blacks, or Hispanics sexually, typically live a Eurocentric life... their friends are white, the people they employ are white, their world is white. And it’s whitewashed with privilege and denial.

    Another revelation...

It’s obvious that this core group of friends of yours includes no people of color either.... which is obviously telling, since there’s the ongoing joke about one friend liking Asians “too much”, and the other friend who can’t get enough “BBC”.... all the while you’re saying “yuck”, to both of them... because you wouldn’t dare entertain a black guy or an asian guy...

The visual is so hilariously clear, yet typical......

While you think it's overreacting, look at why this thread was started. These kinds of "preferences" have real life implications.

And you think it's just "sexual preferences" but really those "preferences" help decide your actions in your daily life from who you make friends with, who you pick to be in your group for class projects, who you sit next to on public transit, employees you choose to hire, who you grant bank loans to, neighborhoods you want to live in, etc.
