  1. @HoleTrainer as I've said before, let them revisit this thread a year from now. No getting through to people who are clinging to the antiquated economic rails that will eventually be replaced by the modern rails of our time.
  2. @BnaC Given that this is the world I also live in, I draw opinions from facts and stand by them. There's no need to convince myself, numbers don't lie. If you see it differently, good on you. As mentioned in a previous post, these comments reaffirm to those who are crypto proponents that we are still early. Kindly revisit this thread a year from now and tell me there's no case for crypto in today's world and theres no intrinsic value to it.
  3. I suggest you look at countries like Venezuela and ask them if BTC has intrinsic value. And there is no "bubble". You keep referring to this impending doom. The only people who dish this rhetoric are gold bugs and cefi proponents who fear change, technology and innovation. Government intervention comes when crypto projects with no fundamental use/utility like DOGE skyrockets when billionaires open their mouths on twitter and induce fomo. DOGE will be the only bust. Due to the aforementioned point, regulations will probably come. In general, the ignorance is strong in this forum. Do a few hours of research and be surprised at how technology will change commerce and lives.
  4. Good point, because fiat is used exclusively for non-criminal activities. Better stick to fiat so nobody thinks I'm an arms dealer. Thanks for the tip.
  5. Totally agree with you on this. Many in the space consider BTC as "digital gold" with millenials, gen z's buying it up the way their parents and grandparents bought gold. It is definitely overwhelming to search through the many projects. If you have any questions about anything specific, dm me and I'll try to help you out ??
  6. Right here with you on this point. I think people are still shell shocked from 2017. Many are unaware that Tesla made more in Q1 of this year with their BTC holdings than car sales. So apparently putting your cash reserves in a crypto is profitable. Who would have guessed, with such a speculative asset. And a sidenote: USD, CAD etc is referred to as "fiat", which directly translates to "by decree". Meaning that the powers that be have declared that the currency of *insert country here* is valid and legal tender. One notable difference between inflationary, "printer go brrr" money and crypto is that the people who hold, use, trade, lend crypto have decided that it holds value. Not a few who have the power to manipulate its supply and dilute its purchasing power.
  7. I've hosted private events before, its nice to have others you can play well with and put on a solid event without any issues.
  8. One workaround for volatility would be the use of stablecoins for payment. For those uninitiated, it is essentially a token that is pegged to the value of a fiat currency ie USD, EUR, GBP, etc. From there, the provider could do as he/she pleases with it. The only downside would be ERC-20 gas fees, which brings back the option of using an alternative low-fee crypto. I cant stand Ethereum rn.
  9. That is one that seems to have some serious potential long-term. Once their SC's roll out with Alonzo HFC, things will be possible. On SC's in general, they would make transactions and specifically cancellations, tips and other specifics pertaining to payments, deposits, etc much easier and transparent for both client and provider.
  10. Hey, I agree completely, however I believe it is still early for many who have been using cash and will require a much more simplified UX/UI. What types of crypto projects were you excited to see paired with this industry?
  11. Here's an idea. Find a porn clip, send the provider the link and say, "I'm really into this, thoughts?" or something along those lines. Nothing gets across your fantasies better than seeing it played out and helps get the discussion going. Worst case, he's not into it and you save a session fee. Best case, you get to play out whatever you're into! ?
  12. One thing I've noticed with the HVC's I've been hired by is that they want to book many guys in one session. I've been asked how many I can bring along, or if I'm cool with other guys being there with me. I always ask which other hires are going to be there and either tell him that I'll pass and wait for our 1 on 1 or go and enjoy. They're also usually into some unconventional fetishes which I'm happy to accommodate. ?
  13. This thread just reminded me of something that happened years back when I was first starting out. A new client who became a regular over the years first tipped me a rather handsome amount extra in the envelope. I contacted him after counting it and asked him if he miscounted, and he replied no and thanks for reaching out about it. Years later when we got a lot closer he mentioned that tip and said it was a test of honesty, character, something along those lines. He said most of his hires dont say anything and thank him generally for the meet without acknowledging the extra stack. Any clients on here ever done this as a test? I thought it was interesting that the majority just sat pretty with their bonus and with no acknowledgement.
  14. So unhappy, let me tell you ?? People like you remind me and others who live and breathe the field of crypto (no-coiners will call it "virtual currency") that we are still ridiculously early and there is still lots and lots of money to be made. You're best off on the sidelines with RobinHood and the generous 0.03% your bank gives you. It doesnt require learning much.
  15. Further to that, the Brave browser that distributes BAT or basic attention token for using said service is also technically receiving crypto. Brave claims to have over 20 million active users and 7 million daily active users. Many grandma's and those too young to understand taxes will be using this browser, earning BAT. Should they also file a 1040 if they spend time using Brave? How about DOGE? Kids buying and selling without knowing wtf they're even doing? IRS coming after them as well, based on your stance on this? I suggest you educate yourself on the current state of the industry before posting this garbage. Yes, regulations will be coming, especially once DOGE collapses and retail investors lose their shirts. But it's highly unlikely that regular people will be burned for buying a coffee over LN. Once again, my suggestion: EDUCATE YOURSELF and consult a competent and experienced tax professional.
  16. Perhaps you should consult your tax professional (note the word professional) with crypto experience as I have in both Canada and the US before leading people down the path of misinformation. CNBC and cointracker....seriously? So sad...

  18. Going to go ahead and disagree with you. That article, last paragraph says it all. With LN and fast finality with retail purchases becoming more and more prevalent, small purchases being taxed and monitored by the IRS is highly unlikely. They're going to be after people who are laundering with NFT's, trading heavily and withdrawing via off-ramps. This article is fear mongering. But DYOR, just don't base your decision to use crypto on cointracker...?
  19. Years ago I met one really cool client, only problem was he was openly contemplating leaving his bf of many years to be with me. I swiftly ended that , he sorted his shit out and now we still get together and its never spoken of. Sometimes clients who fall in love too quickly need some space from the great sex and realize what they have beyond time with their escort.
  20. There's someone for everyone! Nice to meet ya, btw. Also from Toronto ?
  21. Hey OP! Most of my trips to a client have been preceded by an interaction; either him visiting my area and staying in a hotel or me heading out there and staying in a spot of my own. For both the client and I, it gave us a bit of time to get to know our likes, dislikes and ironically it always led to talks and follow-through for another interaction. I hope your trip goes well! ?
  22. I had one client back out after I replied something along the lines of, "oh, this will be fun! " when I received his photos. Shortly thereafter he replied, "Well if it's fun to you why should I pay? We can just hook up and leave the $$$ out of it then". Like come on...seriously? That's the only time a client sent photos and then backed out.
  23. I've received photos in the past without requesting them. I feel it's just a comfort level on the client's part; similar to a hookup on Grindr, etc. The obvious difference is the part where the client pays, but I feel for many it's just the norm to want to exchange photos.
  24. OR you could earn your hourly/overnight/weekend etc rate in crypto, add it to a DeFi /CeFi platform to earn yield with higher interest rates and zero management fees. All with the ability to convert to fiat currency...if that's your thing. This is what Gen Z/Millenials are doing to exit from the current financial paradigm that is suffering from chronic inflation. This is our generation's equivalent of buying gold and building wealth. Traditional centralized investments are going to die out by way of a thousand cuts. DM me if you're interested in learning more. ?
