Interestingly enough, I have not met with a lot of providers since January (except for my regular masseur in MD), but what has sparked my interest to start this topic was the recent influx of requests I have been getting from both RM and RMasseur sites to "add a review with 5 stars" for certain providers for a variety of reasons - slow pickup, balancing out some recent bad reviews - other reasons.
Admittedly I have done this once or twice (the last time I probably should not have obliged as everything else this provider had done, outside of certain pricing schemes, was sketchy at best) early last year. And, providers who actually consider me a regular would never really ask me for this favor. It would be these individuals that I have met once or twice - had a great time with them, but I would not necessarily feel compelled to provide an additional review if I have not had a recent encounter with said provider. And the more I get these requests, the more I tend the question the motivations behind the ask. Perhaps it's just a seemingly efficient and expedient business move (to see if folks can solicit more positive reviews from clients who already provided positive reviews previously), but I wonder if you have tended to still meet with them.
In retrospect, I do not know if I would necessarily hire those folks again. From a business and professional standpoint, I am still a big proponent for someone having integrity, so if someone is asking me to essentially lie and add a review for an encounter that does not exist or has not occurred, certainly gives me pause.
How about you?
