While I have only been there by appointment in the last few months, I believe that most, if not all, of the signage has been removed, at least from street view. Even the buzzer shows "Health Center" or something equally generic. The only sign for "28 Men's Spa" I noticed was in the bathroom blocking the window. Maybe I missed something, but IIRC there was nothing to identify it as 28 Men's Spa from the street. I didn't see much of the lobby as I was ushered to the massage room quickly each time. I'll have to take a better look at the store front next time I'm in the area. 🤷‍♂️

28 Men Spa closed a while ago, unless you mean the unofficial "health center" that has been operating in its place on a "by appointment only" system. I've only visited there recently when I've made appointments with masseurs from RM or MF. They always give an address nearby and tell me to call when I arrive outside. Of course, then they tell me to go to the real spot at the old 28MS location or they walk out to find me.

One way to get their attention is to book Cody and if he wears gloves, ask him to remove them. If he won't, then get up and leave. Be respectful but just leave. Advise them (whoever is managing that day) calmly/rationally why you are declining service. If he wants/needs to wear gloves, that's his choice but that doesn't mean we have to accept it. We don't need to know his medical history but we also should be advised if our masseur is going to be doing something out of the norm like wearing gloves. (And I say this as someone who loves 27/HK and I have been a client since its Sunny Boy days.)

It looks like he's in Seattle now. I had one good massage with him but then future massages turned into endless upselling and renegotiation of previously agreed upon services in the middle of the massage. He had so much potential IMO, but he shot himself in the foot with his behavior. I had a masseur who kept staring at his own reflexion in the mirror. The self-worshiping was annoying and certainly didn't help set the mood I was looking for. lol Never met him again.

It's pretty normal for 60 min sessions to be in the 50-55 min range at spas. You have to have some time in between appointments for the "2pm" client to get dressed and out before the "3pm" client arrives. Even if it's not the same masseur who has an appointment right after you, another masseur might be using that room.

I met with Tan this afternoon. He matched his pics online. If anything, I would say he's more handsome in person. He has a very fit, muscular build. We met at a location in Midtown. (Some of you may recognize the location as a former spa.) He said he hosts in Flushing too. The massage was above average. A solid B in my opinion. He did some nice work on my shoulders and arms, good stretching of my legs. And I was happy with the end of my massage too. I "accidentally" touched him a few times during the massage and I discovered that he has some very sensitive areas on his body (in a good way). Oops! My bad. lol I can definitely recommend him. I'm looking forward to seeing him again. He's a genuinely nice guy and he's very accommodating with requests. I think I will ask about the Thai massage mentioned above for my next visit. That could be very interesting.

I believe the question was about legit spas. "good masseurs in Manhattan at the legit places" As for underwear, even the "less than legit" places have signs saying to leave your underwear on but that doesn't mean it has to stay on. I've been to many legit spas and taken everything off. If anything, the masseur will cover your butt with a towel.
