Yes! I not only read Scotty's book but saw the documentary too! I did a little research and back then the offer of $20 buck was about the equivalate of $100 bucks (or more) today!

I'd be coming out all day with Iced Tea, Fresh Lemonade, Cold Water, a Hot Lunch at noon and at the end of the day I'd offer him an Iced Cold Beer and to use my master bedroom shower before he goes home!
