  1. I've wondered that as well...
  2. I wonder how the flat earthers reconcile the fact they have supporters 'all around' the world? ?

  5. Well, this string has shown me I need to learn how to read. At first glance I thought the post was about someone named 'LatinoMouse', and now I can't get Speedy Gonzales out of my mind.
  6. I believe this is the same gentleman: https://rent.men/CubanFun/#platinum It appears his profile was created last August on Rentmen. Not sure if anyone here may have met him though.
  7. Im curious (hence my user name), what are some of the characteristics of the Moravian faith that make it different from other protestant faiths?
  8. In case it isnt clear, my ?is in response to the advice you're providing, not the fact you were flaked on. As for being flaked on, I offer ?
  9. Very sorry to hear that... I'll mention a couple of things here without knowing what type of work you have been doing, what things you are interested in, and who you are as an individual. In your resume/cover letter I would emphasize that you are a loyal and stable employee as evidenced by 20 years with one company. And maybe also indicate that while losing your job due to restructuring is difficult, your natural inclination to be positive and productive means you view this period as an opportunity to pursue new career challenges that will also assist in your ongoing personal growth and development. It is never easy to lose a job, but you no doubt have a number of advantages over younger job seekers. Perhaps you are more mature, more adaptable to changes given your life experiences, more adept at building relationships with coworkers/clients, have a different work ethic, etc. These are things you can emphasize about yourself (without being negative about younger potential competitors in the job market). You might want to reach out to employment agencies/ head-hunting organizations as well, because they may have contacts that could be beneficial too. They may be aware of a number of positions out there that are waiting for someone just like you. These are just a few ideas... good luck with the search, and stay strong

  13. If I was able to stay awake for almost 3 hours watching Ralph Fiennes slowly die in 'The English Patient', surely a masseur should be able to stay awake long enough to complete a massage... ?

  18. There are programs that people can take to be certified as a 'death doula' - sort of like a midwife (midhusband?) to help the dying individual through that final transition. For those providers who have a natural caring and compassonate character, becoming certified as a death doula could be a way of serving community members at the most intensely personal point of their lives. I dont know what the compensation is for that type of work, but I have a feeling that becoming a death doula would appeal mostly to those who are not primarily motivated by the remuneration factor anyway. I imagine one could also focus their doula services on members of the LGTBQ community specifically, and do the work on a strictly part-time/ on-call basis if so desired. It would be important for anyone considering this sort of work to have a good support system as well. Helping someone through death is understandably draining on an emotional and psychological level. I imagine there are many escorts out there who genuinely enjoy bringing happiness and fulfilment to the men who hire them for intimacy, and I would not be surprised if these same guys would also make excellent doulas. ?
  19. I think he and I may have had the same math teacher....

  23. Not unless its also wrong that after reading all the discussion about milk I'm now settling into a plate of Toll House Cookies. With a cold glass of milk of course.
  24. FWIW I sent a request for the private gallery in January, and it was unlocked. I sent a two word reply of 'thank you'... and was subsequently blocked... ??
