There are very few topics that have been more heavily debated. Some feel strongly that as an independent party (not referring to Spa type massages here) it is like visiting a dentist - why tip? Others feel equally strongly that a tip should be provided for service above expectations and this will also secure a good relationship for future visits. There is no "rules" - nor are there any rules around the amount of the tip.
 
If I receive service above my expectations I choose to tip - I usually request an erotic massage so my expectations are pretty high. Usually the tip is in the range of 20 - 30%.

This is actually not an easy question to respond to. Different masseurs serve different specific needs. I may be in the mood for Asian today and really enjoy that egg roll and won tons and then tomorrow my taste buds change and I have a craving for meatballs & hot sausages. As we all know, eating the same thing everyday gets boring so we like to change it up and try something new . . . For better or for worse.

If he doesn't, I'm disappointed and move on. I have been lucky. The masseurs I have seen treat me like a young stud that I clearly am not. This is what makes me prefer this avenue.

I’ve been getting massages for about ten years now and I love the experience of meeting new guys most of whom (in my experience) want to please and make you feel amazing. Yes there is the occasional “ridiculously bad” experience but the vast majority are acceptable to amazing, with the mind blower OMG experience thrown in there. It’s those surprises that can be exhilarating. But I will say that I have met some of the nicest and most genuine guys on this journey and made some good friends, ones I keep up with and, guys I enjoy seeing when I can. When you can connect physically, emotionally, and even psychically through touch with a masseur it’s amazing, definitely worth the price if admission. The power and necessity of touch in a world that is increasingly electronic and detached makes the whole experience of massage that much more necessary.

This is how I look at it. We all make choices. We choose to do certain things that are more or less risky. A masseur May choose or choose not to or lie about his status. The client may as well. and either party may or may not choose to tell the other that they caught something. I believe in karma. I think the site is great for sharing accurate info publicly. And privately I’m sure we share what we think or believe to be the case with people we have made friendships with. But, we shouldn’t be judgmental about how a masseur Decides to provide extras or how a client engages in risky behavior even if we wouldn’t conduct our life that way. For crying out loud, if half of our family and coworkers read these posts they would think we are depraved.

And if by some chance it was the masseur and he reached out to advise those potentially affected so that they could get tested and treated if necessary, he should be applauded for his responsible actions.
