I kind of always assume that anyone on a hook-up site is there to hook up, not to hire/be hired. To me, the clarification should be more on the sex worker's end instead of the client's end especially if he is the one who initiates the conversation. Like if he DMs you on grindr, he should be pretty forthright that he is doing so as a sex worker not just to hook up. So I think you did make a mistake bringing up his SW stuff that you knew about from outside the hookup app.

Pretty strong jobs report this week. https://www.nytimes.com/2022/07/08/business/economy/wages-jobs-fed-rates.html Definitely not looking like a recession yet, but with inflation still high the Fed will surely keep raising rates at a fast clip.

Possibly. I'm there for a wedding so I know I'm going to be tied up on some nights, but yeah we might be able to do that. Message me if you want and we'll connect.

OOh I like using biscoff cookies. I think that would make a flavorful crust.

This happened to me one time too. I accidentally gave the provider a $20 instead of a $50 so was $30 short. I felt so bad and made it up to him on Venmo. I've actually gotten in the habit now of keeping the money in a separate pocket completely out of my wallet so I don't mix up my wallet money with my provider money.

I live in Denver, but I'm weirdly going to NYC next week so maybe I'll see if I can find it. It might be at specialty stores here too.

These sound good, but where does one get these Torres chips? I don't think I've seen them.

Rent.Men Reviews are Pointless
+ keroscenefire replied to jtwalker's topic in Questions About Hiring
I think it's good to reach out to someone who wrote a review to get a better sense. As for me, I use Uber rules and pretty much do 5-stars or none at all. So even when I give a five-star review, it's not always a 5-star experience. And I'm happy to provide context. -
What's your go-to snack? Mine is just some chips and salsa or hummus. Satisfying and simple. What about you all?

Yep..I recommend although found him to be a bit aggressive in messaging. But the experience was pleasant and he's a fun, attractive due.

There in Denver now. I tried to contact RTLuiss and it was kind of a weird conversation so I decided against meeting. I'm thinking they're not native English speakers, which isn't necessarily a problem. But there was also an element of trying to get more money out of me than I was comfortable with. I think they are travelling together and are trying very hard to upcharge for the both of them.

I've been enjoying the new season of Umbrella Academy. I like how they dealt with the Vanya/Victor and Ellen/Eliot Page aspect of the story. And overall am enjoying the action and the new Sparrow Academy element.

Monkeypox a new worry for gay and bi men
+ keroscenefire replied to Luv2play's topic in Men's Health
I specifically asked my GP about the monkeypox vaccine during my last Prep appointment. She said they are not giving it out for the general public yet only if you've suspected you had an exposure or for health-care workers. She did say that if she were able to prescribe it, she definitely would though. Hopefully in the US soon. -
Two-Ingredient Banana Chocolate Treats

Haha...I actually don't think these would ship very well. But we can pretend. -
Two-Ingredient Banana Chocolate Treats
+ keroscenefire replied to + keroscenefire's topic in What's Cooking
It's truly really easy. Mash 2-3 bananas and then add in a regular size bag of melted semi-sweet chocolate chips (easy to do in the microwave), then pop them in the fridge for an hour or so (or overnight). I did my last batch in muffin tins and super easy and easy to clean up. Big hit at my friend's birthday party and the cost for everything was less than $5! -
I made this 2-ingredient cake recently. It came out delicious and requires no baking. It is very rich though.

Apparently I get around. Haha. Recommend generally, PM for details.

Florida meningococcal outbreak among gay and bi men
+ keroscenefire replied to BuffaloKyle's topic in Men's Health
Yeah...I heard about this too. Two important things: 1) There is a vaccine for some meningitis causes. Probably not a bad idea to get that if you're travelling and/or going to be around a lot of people. They are actually recommending it for the MSM population in Florida 2) Bacterial meningitis can be treated with antibiotics but it needs to be done very quickly. If you have a headache, fever, stiff neck or notice a purplish rash, get medical attention immediately so you can get antibiotics as soon as possible. -
Advice for a newbie investor?

A close friend of mine actually lost a lot of money in a cryptocurrency scam, so I'm not touching anything crypto with a 10-foot pole. -
Overall, I recommend him, though not enthusiastically. PM if you want.

Advice for a newbie investor?
+ keroscenefire replied to + keroscenefire's topic in Personal Finance & Investing
Do you think it would be worth putting another $1000 or so directly into stocks or would it be best to just put more in my index fund? I am inclined toward the latter but there are some good stocks right now that in solid companies that I think would do well in the long-run. But maybe it's best that I keep it with index funds. I don't know that I want to be watching stock prices all the time. -
I wonder if he is misunderstanding this as like a sugarbaby sort of situation. But yeah I'd be clear that this is for your time together only. Anything beyond that is his responsibility to pay.

Advice for a newbie investor?
+ keroscenefire replied to + keroscenefire's topic in Personal Finance & Investing
Unfortunately in Denver, even condos are pretty expensive and I just don't think I'm in position yet to put down all my savings on a mortgage. I think real estate is a better option for me in 2-3 years when I'm a bit more stable in my business and hopefully have a bit more saved as well. -
Monkeypox a new worry for gay and bi men

Thanks for sharing those videos. The doctor seems to have a very classic presentation of monkeypox from what I read. It's good that he's already feeling better after just a few days. I think the worse part is the isolation. I had COVID early and basically stayed in my apartment for two weeks. Really feel for people who have to do that. Hopefully our testing gets better though and we can start getting those vaccines to people in close contact. Breaking the chains of transmission is definitely going to be helpful in getting these cases down. -

Thanks for this excellent advice. Real estate is going to be a bit tricky for me for the time being. Both because Denver is a crazy market and because with my new business I actually don't have a lot of monthly income on paper, which would make it very hard to get a mortgage. But as it grows, I expect to be able to show that I have the income necessary for a loan. That may still be 3-4 years away though.
