I absolutely don’t touch the masseur unless he states it’s okay, or he makes it clear during the massage (you’ll know), or I ask if it’s okay, and if it is, I “respectfully” lightly touch/caress their calf, for example, to hopefully demonstrate I’m not a douchebag.

I've had this happen twice at "strictly" therapeutic places. In retrospect, I'm not exactly sure how or why they happened at a legit place. Perhaps the masseur was in the mood. Maybe I was their type (chemistry). Or perhaps it was just a slow day and they were workin' the tips - But I didn't ask for it and I didn't drop any hints.

If I really thought about it the common factor is that I tend to treat people with respect and courtesy. I do like a little conversation prior to session. During which I treat them like a human beings who matter and not a means to a [happy] end. When I go in for a 60 minutes massage my only expectation is for a good massage... for 60 minutes. After that it's up to the parties involved and not an written agenda I hand the masseurs when I tromp in. I'm not sure I would want to be treated like a 'Have it Your Way' Burger King employee, so I don't treat others like that. It goes a long way.

There is a whole thread on him that was posted when you asked this question last month. Summary: he's not the guy in the photos, and the guy that answers the door is bad. If you search 29110 you will see the threads on him, including your own. Happy to help, no judgments, I would forget my own name if people didn't yell it at me all the time. Searching masseurfinder numbers is very useful, though.

It is bad form for a new user to be in a flame war on their first day. It's bad form for well known users to be taken in by said users.

This is a great question. I've had my massage table broken when the weight is too much. No one wants to take responsibility, but it's very common on the forums for people to be very upset if a masseur asks about your size or for a picture before you meet up. I'm not complaining about anyone, just wondering how to handle weighty issues. If clients are too heavy, do you cheerfully pull out a mat and tell them you bet they would really benefit from your Thai massage technique?

Just curious if any of you have ever gone to your local massage school when in need of a therapeutic massage. I over did it at the gym yesterday and this morning was sore and stiff and in need of a strictly therapeutic massage. I know there are plenty of great masseurs on MF and RM but, to be honest, when I pick a masseur from one of those sights, I tend to want to be touched by a hot guy and want to reciprocate...and many times, more, too. Today, I just wanted a nice therapeutic massage and didn't want to spend $100 with someone on MF or at a local spa.

I was pleasantly surprised! Got an 80-minutes full body massage for $45. If you have a school near you and want nothing more than a therapeutic massage - with no temptation - check it out.

Don't get me wrong, I'll still always use

When I want a massage with great play time, too. But This is a good option when an inexpensive massage is all that is needed/wanted.

I think it is a safe assumption that if the OP is unwilling to state what happened on a forum of strangers most of whom would be supportive, that it is almost assured that he is going to have trouble speaking with a doctor, specifically his doctor. We have no idea of the availability of medical services in his area, though I agree, he needs to get medical help as soon as possible. It may be that the act which occurred needs PEP but it may also be that the OP is unfamiliar with what is and what is not high risk and he may not need PEP. What he definitely needs is education, not humiliation. There is a man who has come to us for help, let us try to be kind and to offer whatever assistance we can,
OP, please be aware that if the man with whom you were involved is negative or has an undetectable viral load due to treatment your risk is either zero, the former, or very low, the latter situation. That is not to say that you should not be concerned, but that is to say that you need to act expeditiously and after seeking medical help, while in the waiting room, call your partner and ask his status, Get treated, get tested and deal with the results.
Blame does not play a productive role in this.

I think that the main point is to make sure that the OP (GoneStag90) has the info that he needs to take FAST action.

None of us know the precise circumstances (e.g., did a condom break?) and what he is going through emotionally.

So I think that what is key here is to provide him with practical advice so that he can take whatever remedial action is needed - before the critical 72-hour window closes.

GoneStag90 - as you've corralled a bunch of folks on here to advise you, please update everyone after you've taken care of yourself and can exhale.

Don’t stress too much, that happened to me twice in a similar situation as what you described. Both times I went on pep and I am now on prep just to have extra protection. Go to a clinic or er and start the pep if you haven’t done it yet .

If you're going to do PEP, a very quick Google search will inform you that you MUST do it quickly - if 72 hours pass since your encounter/exposure, it's not effective.

An excerpt from the Planned Parenthood website says: "But you have to start PEP within 72 hours, or 3 days, after you were exposed to HIV, or it won’t work. The sooner you start, the better it works — every hour matters."
    https://www.plannedparenthood.org/learn/stds-hiv-safer-sex/hiv-aids/pep

So, TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE!!!

    Good luck.

Sounds like you went too far. No worries. You live and learn. Just make sure to go slower and discuss expectations next time. And as others have mentioned, if PEP needed time is crucial but I’d imagine you’ll probably be fine. Let this lead you to being careful for the future. Sorry others are being hard on you... I know I’ve lost common sense when I’ve worried about stuff I’ve done... it happens.

Mr. Jones reacted to LivingnLA in Sensual vs Erotic
Pretty much all massage is sensual without erotic aspects. The problem with the word use in this context is the attempt to layer in erotic intent while creating a separation with the erotic label. That's part of why the variance is so wide among providers and clients.

The only way to understand what these terms mean is to ask because every provider and every client will have a different understanding.
