. If you are at all interested in art, the two biggest and best art fairs in the world will be coming to Miami and Miami Beach from Dec. 4-9. The fairs bring together hundreds of the best galleries in the world, with all of their treasures, as well as hundreds of smaller galleries and individual artist representing the best of contemporary art. It would be impossible to see this much art anywhere else, anytime. And the location is superb - South Florida in the winter, with sunny days and temperatures probably in the low 80s, sunny skies, and balmy evenings so you can eat outdoors. And it is a great deal of fun. The number of openings, receptions, and parties, as well as the major art exhibitions is tremendous. If you can and are serious, plan on spending at least two days at each, to really be able to see and enjoy the work. Then there are all the other "satellite" fairs. If you have never been, Art Miami is held in a gigantic tent right alongside Biscayne Bay and is celebrating its 29th year as an event. The huge rectangular space is divided by aisles, alongside which are several hundred booths. Many galleries spend thousands of dollars creating their booths. Each displays the best work it has for sale. Artists create large scale works if they hope to sell them to museums; they create smaller, human-scaled works for sale to individuals and to make a living. You never would see these works except at the fairs; they spend their entire lives in private collections, giving someone great pleasure. At the fairs, you get to share that pleasure for a time. For example, Robert Motherwell paintings in museums are all gigantic "Elegy to the Spanish Republic" paintings. But Motherwell spent of his time creating smaller, wonderful works in a variety of media. His is always one of my favorites to look for. Helen Frankenthaler is known for her huge soak-and-stain paintings, which museums crave. But it is the smaller prints, some woodblocks, which are glorious and gorgeous, and they will be at the fairs. There will be lots of Warhol, more than you would see in any individual museum. Especially this year, with the big retrospective at the Whitney giving him lots of publicity. But this is South Florida, with a large Latino population. Both fairs will have a good selection of prime works by Latin American artists, from Diego Rivera and Frida Kahlo to Fernando Botero, Gunther Gerszo, and fiber artists from Brazil and Argentina. There will also be more Asian artists, as American galleries look for the best art from China and Japan. And gallery dealers are always on hand to explain and talk about the art. So I always learn a tremendous amount each year. Art Miami is in Miami across the street from the Arsht Center for the Arts and right alongside Biscayne Bay. Lots of parking at the Omni Garage one block away. Public transportation: take the Bright Line train to the Miami station and switch to the free people mover (elevated train) going to the Arsht Center. Art Basel is at the big Convention Center in Miami Beach. Traffic will be heavy, but the municipal ramp right across the street is very large and cheap, and valet parking is not really bad and very convenient. You can pet while they purr, and chat. Sometimes, they congregate on the patio and do not circulate; you can either wait until they do, or go for a walk yourself and ask a boy to come back with you. They are there to make money, and as long as they are not with another customer, they will come with you. No problem. There is never a cover charge, and drinks are moderate in price. The dj/manager is hard for me to understand, so I don't have the names of all the boys, but here are some that I met and played with. There were no little fem boys, but all pure, good looking twinks - young, smooth, delicious, average to slightly athletic or muscular builds. His life and background are very interesting; he speaks Russian fluently. He is a college student, among other things. Highly recommended. MILES - is a very nice and personable young guy. He also works as a bakery chef part-time. He was very interactive and very generous with his assets. Nice smooth body, exceptionally nice ass, and good conversationalist. Highly recommended. JAVI - looks Hispanic and is from Connecticut. He is perhaps 5'7" and perhaps the best dancer. He works the pole in back and has a nice, firm, athletic but not muscular body. He wears a black jock strap which shows off his ass and assets well. JADEN - is new, has dark hair and dark eyes, and has an exceptionally fine ass. This was his second night, but he already knew how to please customers and went in back for lap dances. JOSE - is a Latino body with a beautiful body and face; he dances extremely well. He seems to have a number of regular customers and spends quite a bit of time with them, but you can get him. The painting was painted in Hockney's studio in London, using photographs of the location. The scene is not of California, but of the south of France. Hockney and his young lover, Peter Schlesinger, were several times guests of Tony Richardson at his villa in the South of France. They both loved the area. They had just broken up, and the painting is kind of Hockney's farewell to Peter (who today is a well known photographer and artist whose husband is a Swedish photographer). The standing clothed figure "is" Peter, although it is derived from a photo of Peter taken in London a year earlier. Hockney's studio assistant (who is still living) stood in the place of Peter, so Hockney could get the body position right. The figure in the pool was a friend of the assistant. Hockney completed the painting in a rush in a couple of weeks so he could include it in a show he was having in New York.

A few years ago, before the new stadium was built and much of SE DC leveled, there were three thriving male stripper bars along and near O St SE: La Cage, Secrets, and Wet. Each had 25+ dancers every night of the week, and on weekends, the total surpassed 100. All the dancers were good looking, and varied from a number of high school 18 yr old bois at Wet to servicemen to gymnasts to firemen to Congressional aides, college students and guys from embassies. Many, many guys were employed and earned a living at the bars. And a lot of people had a lot of fun. But at that time there was also an agency which specialized in just twink escorts, and they had lots of them. Other agencies handled other types. I don't really know why the bars have not reappeared elsewhere, but zoning seems to be a major issue. That area of town had old ordinances which allowed nude dancing; other areas of the city don't allow it. And applying for a permit today doesn't fly. But I don't really know. It would be nice to have someone knowledgeable from D.C. explain. At one time I read a rumor that someone was going to open a bar in the Northeast part of the city, but nothing came of it. But it certainly would be nice if some helpful entrepreneur opened a good stripper bar. The current "Secrets" is not satisfactory, I agree. They got their permit (I understand) for full nudity only if there is absolutely no touching anywhere anytime. And they strictly enforce it. So you can watch guys standing on little platforms for 20 minutes at a time, but that's it. At least, that's the way it was last time I visited.

Re: LeBoy I think it makes a difference which night you visit. I was there last Friday and had a good time again. Ten echt-twink dancers, many Latino. They did not hang out together or smoke; I was pleasantly surprised at the manner in which almost all regularly circulated around the bar, said "hello," and introduced themselves. I have found a place at the bar where the noise level is not too bad. No outstanding dancers last night, but all OK to good twinks, nothing else. All were very obliging, chatting, etc, and I had a lot of fun. Especially recommended - Chris, Alex, Esteban, Ryan, Miguel. Not a large crowd of customers, but pleasant. Chris the bartender was there. Re: Boardwalk Nights vary. When I stopped by on Friday a few weeks ago, the parking lots were filled, and cars were parked all along the side streets and on the grass. Inside was packed, and it was difficult to walk through. There was a lot of business at the three bars inside. And there were lots of dancers.

Halloween is the biggest party time of the year in Wilton Manors (in Fort Lauderdale, FL) and the three stripper clubs in town. Party events will begin on Saturday, Oct. 27, and run through Halloween on Wednesday, Oct. 31. All of the details have not yet been printed in "Hotspots Magazine" (as far as I know), but here are links to two of last year's issues, where you can thumb through and get an idea of what will be available. Thousands of people, most in costume, will be walking up and down the drive, enjoying the free entertainment and plenty of places to get food and drink, to see and to be seen. I just watched "Latter Days" for the first time and enjoyed it. So I decided to look up one of its stars, Steve Sandvoss, who played the very beautiful young Mormon Missionary, Aaron, in the movie, with memorable nude scenes. There are many pictures of Steve on the web, and he was very beautiful, with a magnificent body. He seems to have posed for many pictures , although I am not sure of the purposes. Steve was from Westchester, NY, and attended Harvard, where he graduated with honors in 2002, majoring in Literature. Then he and his two brothers went out to L.A. to get into movies. Steve was hired in two weeks to be in "Latter Days." His two brothers became producers in L.A. For seven years, Steve acted in various movies and tv programs, but in 2010, he and his brother Trystan decided they really wanted to be farmers, and they left L.A. Their father had died when they were teenagers, and their mother remarried, a man who had a large dairy farm in upstate New York. Steve, who now changed his name to Max, and his brother Trystan, bought a small farm next to their parents and began raising goats, to make artisanal cheese. They have now been at it for eight years and are very successful, selling their cheese in eight East Coast states. Steve frequently travels and gives talks about cheese making and what can be cooked with their cheeses. I do not know if he is married. There are a number of shots of Steve with very low slung pants on the web, and there is even an article entitled, "There are no low-slung pants which Steve hasn't tried."

Timothee Chalemet of "Call Me By Your Name" is working on "Henry V" film and has a new haircut. He also looks like he has started shaving.

Ghislain was a dancer for many years and a bartender/waiter for a while; he also worked at the casino for a while. I always chatted with him and did lap dances with him. He was very nice. But I have not seen him in quite a while, and I do not know what happened to him. I did ask one time, and someone told me he had a job in the city, but I can't remember doing what. Perhaps Diego or Jean-Sebastian or Francis would know; they were friends. Gerry would probably know also.

. I visited LeBoy last evening, for the first time in a very long time. And I was stunned and amazed. They have never had so many good looking, charming, sexy, personable twink dancers before. Not a single skinny fem type, nor a single not-very-good-looking chubby. Every one was good looking, and there were some knockouts. The star was Francisco, the cutest, handsomest, sexiest, best dancer by far. He was amazing. He had stopped by, and we talked and played a little beside the bar earlier, but nothing prepared me for when he got on stage. What a dancer! What a dazzling smile! What a body! What moves! The music is now mostly Latin, not hard metal or rock, and much better than in the past. The boys obviously find it much easier to dance to. Then Julio, who was also excellent but an even more perfect body and taller and everything in proportion and gorgeous and charming to talk with and eager to play. Ben Tyson was a beautiful totally smooth Black boy who knew how to charm and to please customers. If you like to pet and stroke utterly smooth silky black skin, from head to toe, Tyson offers it. His ass is absolutely delectable. Marcus. Isaac. Fernando, Paul. The list goes on and on. Some of the dancers were of Hispanic origin, but all were born in the Miami/Fort Lauderdale area. There was a total of 12-14 dancers by 10:00. There were several students, a dance instructor, a pastry chef from the Culinary Institute, a carpenter. Boys walked around all evening and introduced themselves to customers and made themselves available and did not hang out together. Lots of fun play around the bar. The outdoor patio was crowded all evening; the inside bar was just right without being overcrowded. Beer was $6 a bottle, but since there is no cover, no problem. The only problem is the still high price of lap dances. But you can have a great deal of fun with the boys for $1 tips while sitting at the bar. In general, as long as you slip bills in their shorts periodically, they will remain with you. .

Although Campus opens at 3:00 every day, nothing really happens until 6:00. I visited four times last week. If you go earlier, there is one dancer who dances at 5:00, then half an hour of music, then one more dance, and another half hour of music. There are only a couple of customers. But by 6:00 on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, the show really begins. And from 6:00 - 9:00, you are treated to a number of dancers, mostly twinks. At 9:00, another group arrives, mostly of bigger guys. Fortunately, the quality of the twinks right now is high, so I had a very good time every day between the stage and the back room. Some of the twink dancers: BRANDON - was an exceptional find. He has dark blond hair and an overall tan. He's cute and sexy, kind of an ideal-looking twink. He works out a lot in the gym, and his body is pretty amazing, from the firm pecs to hard six pack of abs, firm young high ass, and long straight legs. He walks and dances on the balls of his feet, as Pascal used to do. He's 25. Although his face is often impassive on stage, he also has a radiant and sometimes mischievous smile. I had a lap dance each day he was there, and they were delightful. When he first takes off his shorts, he has a small penis, like a classical statue. But get him while you can, because he is usually occupied. MIKA / MICHAEL - is a special find. He is the best conversationalist by far, and very, very sexy. He is of Lebanese background, but born in Canada. He's 23, dark haired, sparkling eyes, well endowed, nice ass, and he is a student. He is fun to chat with at the bar, and then even more fun to take in back for a lap dance. He gives one of the best dances available, always watching to make sure you are having fun and ready to do whatever is necessary so you have a good time. Highly recommended. DALLAS - is a 22 year old cute little blond. His mop of hair is kind of unruly, but he is sweet, gentle, eager, and very good in back. He has light blond down on his ass and legs and crack, and he is fun to pet. He will sit with you at your table and chat nicely, and then go in back and give you other pleasures. ALEX - is a young, slender, smooth skinned, dark haired dancer, who often wore a baseball cap. He frequently sat with one of the regular customers at the bar. CARMELO - was a 24 year old smooth skinned, slender young man. He danced sensuously and fully nude in his slow dance. He is well endowed and happy to show you. In lap dance, he was good and cooperative and interactive. Then there were several bigger guys, not hugely muscular or big body builders, but fuller, somewhat muscular bodies. All would have been right at home in Stock (and maybe that's where they came from). They smiled, they danced well, they had very nice torsos. I saw a couple of their first dances, but I must have been in back every time one did a slow dance, because I didn't see any. So I don't know if they danced fully nude or just did the "Stock Flash." Here are five of them: PAULY - was a personable, pleasant, smooth skinned young man. TYSON - was one of the biggest, nice, smooth, seemed pleasant. MAX - did a very good first dance and got almost nude. He tries, moves around. COLE - for me was the most interesting. He is tall, very nice body with muscles, the best of the Stock type. He is wearing a man-bun. When he smiled, he looked very young, perhaps 20. I would have liked to see him in a slow dance, but I never did. But he looked very promising. KANE - was another fairly muscular, tall, somewhat more mature dancer. I don't know whether he stripped completely either.

RODRIGO - is a very handsome young dancer from Mexico and always danced to Latin rhythms, which I liked. (I remember when Diego was the first to do that.) Rodrigo is perhaps the biggest of the dancers. Not really big and not Stock type at all, but not slender. He is pleasant and nice to watch, but he never took off everything, even in the second dance. I'm not sure why not. He was friendly, and walked around the room and tried to meet people. He dances well, and the skin we could see was very nice. But more/all would have been nicer. ALAN - is a friend of his and also from Mexico and also dances to Latin music. It is nice to hear the sound in contrast to all that hard rock and metallic music. Alan is young, has dark blond hair, and does dance totally nude. I am not sure of his age, but he seems to have a little baby fat left on his tummy and elsewhere. He tries hard and dances well. And he is a totally nude true twink on stage for our enjoyment. MARCO - apparently is one of the regulars. He is a tall, good looking, slender boy, who currently has his hair cut like King Henry V at the Battle of Agincourt. We saw some others like that around town. Marco comes close to fem, but not exactly. At almost 6 feet, he is definitely tall. He dances sensuously and works a lot on the pole. Marco strips all the way for the full second dance and sometimes even for the first, and he has a very large cock, which he is happy to show off. I guess what you have to say about Campus and Taboo these days is that every day is different, and some are wonderful and others not so good. The week previous was Pride Montreal, and all the bars were packed, and there were lots of dancers (I was told, since I was not there). Last week, a week later, I was at Taboo for four nights. Wednesday night was very slow; four dancers and about the same number of customers. But two of the dancers turned out to be very nice, cute, sexy, fun, talkative, and friendly, so we had a good time. Thursday night things had changed significantly. There were 10 dancers, all of them good, and several outstanding. No small fem boys, but all real, beautiful, authentic nude twinks. I'm a bit curious about the source of the salaries of the actors. From the beginning, the film was reported as costing a total of $3.5 million. But if the salaries given above are added together, and they do not include Luca's or the cinematographer's, etc., they total nearly $3 million. This would mean that all expenses and the hundreds of people who worked on the film (Sufdan, photographers, sound engineers, editing people, rental of equipment, etc. etc.) shared $.5 million. This seems unlikely.
