  1. It's a cheap fantasy, tossing a few dollars down the drain and dreaming about it.
  2. Don't the Repubs often use trial lawyers as one of their targets during campaign season? Ted Cruz did it this last weekend. Voters prick up their ears, same as they do when the Repubs warn about Nancy Pelosi. Politicians used to blame skyrocketing health care on medical law suits. That argument doesn't seem to fly anymore does it?
  3. I searched for any prior threads or reviews. Has anyone tried Ken, based in Vegas? https://www.masseurfinder.com/massage-therapists/35563/
  4. San Jose Mercury News ran an AP story this past week about one of Matthew Shepherd's killers and now I see this Boston Globe reporting of their Aaron Hernandez investigation. Thinking about what MS and AH went through, shouldn't we admit that it doesn't always get better. I know that sounds jaded, but man's inhumanity to man does take its toll. So I wonder what one might do to help, besides repeating what seems at the moment to be just a catchy slogan that WEHO queens wear on their T shirts. There are a lot of kids out their with parents just like Aaron Hernandez' dad. . . . . > . . . . . . . . .

  7. If this doesn't fit let me know and I'll delete, but there are a lot of K-drama bromance videos on YouTube. Fun Stuff. So handsome. I didn't know S. Korea was that homophobic. Hopefully will get better.
  8. Saw El again recently. Once again, was impressed. Great session.
  9. S1, 2 and 3 are on Netflix. Worth it. Constance Wu and Traci Lords in S1 and S2 were great. I donated to S4. Looking forward to it. The writing in S3 was awesome. I hope they can do that again.
  10. State of all the land, Joy on ev-'ry hand.
  11. Will be at Walt Disney Concert Hall this month. If I could make it I would. Tremendously gifted. Maybe next time.
  12. I attended an Asian wedding reception (Chinese man married Chinese Vietnamese woman). Was a lot of fun. They even did karaoke. The food was fantastic. An authentic Cantonese style restaurant. Fair to say they spent big on the food and my understanding is this is common in certain Chinese culture to spend really big on dinner. I met a lot of nice family and friends from both sides. Go, give your blessings and enjoy. I suppose the appropriate gift might depend on how traditional they are. Perhaps the restaurant they've chosen will provide a clue.
  13. Screened tonight at the CMG festival in WEHO. For those that remember Part 1, the two looked nice in Part 2. Aged well. If you haven't seen Part 1, see below. The DARE Project 32 min. directed by Adam Salky; written by David Brind A rare pair of films, shot 14 years apart. At 17, Ben was a closeted, outcast teenager who dared to connect with the untouchable Johnny during a champagne-fueled night in a swimming pool. What happened rocked both of their worlds in surprising ways. After high school they never saw each other again. Until now... Part 1 is still on YouTube and Vimeo. Discussing the project.
  14. Did anyone ever try Ken?

  16. Beards are way in these days right? Move over man bun! I'd prefer DN without the beard when he does me.
  17. My dad had a triple album (back then there were vinyl records ) of Woodstock live. There was even a full length movie of Woodstock. I wonder if that is available. Maybe METV can do a midnight showing. Here is Marty Balin singing @ Woodstock. The political world sure has changed since Dad was a kid.
  18. Loved them in Fargo.
  19. Saw Carol Channing play Dolly 20+ years ago when I was just a kid in Minneapolis. I was too young to understand how special it was to see her reprise the role, but I do remember how good she was.
  20. I watched the epi where Robbie's ol' pal played by Sal Mineo rolls into town on his motorcycle and convinces Robbie to take time off work, leave wifey and the kids for a week, and head with him to the river to get away from the rat race. The women folk all looked askance at the idea of this character taking sweet Robbie away, but Uncle Charlie and the men folk were oblivious there was anything to worry about.
