  1. This video below, Only Always You, is short film, but I'll post it here in The Lounge instead of under Movies. It reminds me of when I was young and closeted how I had close friends that were drawn to me and were affectionate. One in particular was a boy I knew in Georgia, a sweet, blond kid, Billy. His Georgia accent melted me. When he announced his engagement, I remember how it felt. I was shattered. That wasn't the only time I fell into such heartbreak over a friend! I don't judge myself or anyone else for those situations. I don't dwell on those days but the video conjured up some memories. I know some brave souls on this forum didn't let fear get in the way of connecting sexually with friends, shipmates, etc. when they were young. I'm only realizing lately how common that scenario was for a lot of young guys. I expect a lot of these straight guys already had sexual experience with guys before I did, me a full blown, gold star queer! I guess that is not a shocker.
  2. I went nearly that long, according to my phone, it was November 21st. Gel works! Broke the streak last Friday. Feels so good. I remember on Northern Exposure how Marylin told Dr. Fleischman when he was upset how he needed a haircut. I knew a native American woman that said the same thing, how a haircut is a good cure for feeling down in the dumps.
  3. Ryan Ashley Lowery is in a YouTube video I watched today, about being a black gay man. He's pretty dreamy and sweet.
  4. Remember Y2K? That's when I lived my year in Oregon. Oh the fun I had at Silverado! The strippers were fine.
  5. Baptists might like it. We already know how they devour porn. And blaming the wife when hubby becomes interested in bu-fu is another famous Baptist trait. If only Maybelle had laid off the pecan pie.
  6. I love Melissa McCarthy. This one is on my must see list.
  7. I know. It's The CW. I guess I'm not a completely jaded queen. I can still like the sweet stuff in Roswell, New Mexico. Won't spoil anything too specific. Good music. Hot guys. A surprising, sexy pairing lock lips. The SyFy storyline is mixed with some current politics and throws a little shade at right wing media. Pushed enough of my buttons. Yeah it's still CW, so a little bit too close to cornball, but that's OK. Stream first epi Nathan Parsons is a strong lead. I like him a lot.
  8. I always text. I include my 1st name and mention if I'm first time client. I ask if they are taking appointments e.g. tomorrow afternoon, and if they have any time available to schedule me. So many pitfalls and miscommunications with emails and texting that I try to keep messages brief, and to the point. I haven't tried calling. Maybe I should try that.
  9. Definitely a worthy place for watching the planes land and for the wealth of aviation history on display.
  10. Saw her years ago, Hello Dolly revival tour, when I was too young to know how special that was. She was adored by the audience. I could tell that much. She is the reason I liked Thoroughly Modern Millie.
  11. I pay $100 annual for Wash. Post digital. I feel a little guilty not subscribing to the LA Times. I may begin. I do get a copy of the New Yorker and Vanity Fair delivered to the house. Nice to have those to have in hand for casual reading.
  12. No matter the genre, I always trust whatever Austin City Limits produces will be a worthy show. Last night they aired international rap superstar Residente. Great band. Both drummers were hot as well. Watched to the end. Loved it. Residente is from Puerto Rico. For me he evokes the political energy of Zack de la Rocha, Rage Against the Machine He closed with a collaboration written in Bosnia with a fellow artist, a rock/gypsy sound mixed with rap, El Futuro Es Nuestro. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u0tCelKjieA:194
  13. He has nice eyes. Looks like a sweet guy.
  14. The Golden Globes with Ricky Gervais was good. Tina Fey and Amy Poehler were tolerable. The times that Kristen Wiig and Will Ferrell or Steve Carell presented were clever. But for the most part, the show is always about as luke warm for me as it was this year.
