The whole album Year of the Cat is emotional for me, especially this one, conjures up feelings of the past and loss. When Lord Genville met his end.

Words of Wisdom from Scott Baio
+ E.T.Bass replied to + WilliamM's topic in TV and Streaming services
It's true. With a little research such as a phone call Baio might have known Erin Moran had died after suffering with stage IV cancer, and might have chosen not to sully her memory by his comments two days after she passed. Regardless of the cause of death, one wonders why we humans so easily let hateful words out of our mouths against someone as benign as Erin Moran. “I’m OK, a little shocked but not completely shocked that this happened,” he said on the show. “My thing is, I feel bad because her whole life, she was troubled, could never find what made her happy and content. For me, you do drugs or drink, you’re gonna die. I’m sorry if that’s cold, but God gave you a brain, gave you the will to live and thrive and you gotta take care of yourself.” ~ Variety -
Hadn't heard of this documentary show on HBO, We're Here, until tonight Watched Epi 2, about drag performance in Twin Falls Idaho. Loved it. There is even a straight, foxy dude in drag. Touching and funny. I'm not a huge drag fan (never watched Drag Race) but Epi 2 was good.

Masseurs in LA with good mix of therapeutic + extra
+ E.T.Bass replied to Greentea845's topic in Spas & Masseurs
Tim always provided a solid therapeutic experience, no extras. But it was worth it. -

A reminder why we can't risk exposure to Covid 19
+ E.T.Bass replied to Old Blue's topic in Men's Health
Well before the lockdown in Washington, public health authorities had evidence COVID was already widespread in Seattle and King County. They immediately contacted employers like Microsoft and Amazon and directed them to have as many employees as possible telecommute. The resulting drop in rush hour traffic was striking. I read details of this in The New Yorker. Their COVID coverage has been interesting. Will try to find the article again. Compare that to NYC. Yes, the St. Patrick's Day parade was canceled but the bars were still packed, just how NOLA was packed during Mardi Gras. Couple that in NYC with how normally crowded there, subways, tourists, busy airports that included travel from Europe rushing to return before flights were stopped, many infected. NYC was set up for disaster. Back to the OP, the gay nurse in SF and many in NYC can attest to how terrible the effects of the virus across all age groups. The young folks out at the pool or the beach this Memorial Day weekend have made a big mistake, IMO. Lastly, CNN reports Nearly half of the Twitter accounts discussing 'reopening America' may be bots, researchers say Carnegie Mellon researchers collected 200 million tweets discussing the coronavirus since January, and they found that 82% of the top 50 influential retweeters are bots and 62% of the top 1,000 retweeters are bots as well. So, IMO, when coming up against accounts shilling for opening the economy, one might wonder if they are not at all concerned about the effects of COVID because the account is employed to further an agenda. Paying attention to the effects of COVID on the SF nurse ought to be a reminder not to take any chances with this virus. Sadly, many Americans don't consider the big picture or if they do, they are being fed a slanted view by a nefarious on line account or forum member. . -
I binge watched The Family tonight, on Netflix, a 5 part documentary about a political organization of allegiance to Jesus and power that has lasted for decades. https://www.netflix.com/title/80063867?s=a&trkid=13747225&t=cp

POST A SONG THAT'S IRRITATING AND MAKES YOU CHANGE THE STATION
+ E.T.Bass replied to + azdr0710's topic in Music
Songs played too much e.g. Beyonce will kill my taste. And this guy is banned. -
My mother lives in a top congregate facility. But it is clear that even in that place, the support staff pay is low. Mom notices the staff is often paying little attention to tasks. Turnover is high. I would dread to have her living in most of these facilities I've read about. But even where she is, two of the staff tested positive so far. They are quarantined. The idea that infected staff be invited to report to work by a care facility is doubtful to me. The facility could not afford to accelerate their rate of infections.

Most of the staff at long term care facilities are not nurses. I tend to think you have not got the facts right. Where are you getting this information?
