You (like a generous number of clients) can read but can not comprehend. I do not “need” my transportation paid for by the client. As a method of filtering who is a fraud and who is not, an Uber is requested if the client is out of the way (i.e. Manhattan to Long Island or Manhattan to Suffolk County...if you are familiar with the city at all). And at the request of the client, i’ll gladly deduct that from my rate (a generous offer) and the flakes refuse...because there was no intention of this arrangement actually occurring. Real clients do not mind. At all. If you want to bring dick to you that is not conveniently located near you, unfortunately you have to pay. Have you ever used Seamless? There’s a delivery minimum, correct?

You think it’s flakey behavior if the client balks on paying for your Uber? Maybe they stop responding to you because they find an escort that doesn’t need his transportation cost paid for by the client.

It is interesting. Clients and escorts have the same problems. Escorts are having a hard time with dealing with flakey clients and clients are having a hard time dealing with flakey providers.

I think there should be an alliance between Escorts and Clients. Escorts should be honest in their profiles about what they are actually willing to do, and any caveats to be known. Clients should read Escorts profiles as written and not read into what is not there, are try to persuade variations! Wouldn’t that make things better?

I tend to think the way you do.
I understand that some guys probably use it to cast a wider net to potential clients, in a deceptive sort of way if they won’t actually bottom, but I don’t think everyone uses it so cynically.

Yeah I've learned to read the signs of time wasters and just move on. And not take personally. Like people that call without a text first. I've never had anyone book me that started our correspondence that way. So when my phone rings out of the blue I already know it's a low chance of a booking, so I lower my expectations. If they text me and get to the point...ok this is for serious. And for the former Backpage clients they will eventually get us rentmen guys are professionals and will treat us accordingly...I feel. Or maybe I'm too hopeful and glass half full!?? But I follow your motto and don't let it upset me till it does. If it upsets me I take a few days off and just spend more time in the pool or gym till I recover.

Sorry that happened to you! :-( I've heard from other clients of similar situations, so it probably does go both ways... The client has an advantage tho in that they can see our reviews or leave bad ones if we flake. We as escorts don't have recourse for bad behavior other than to learn to see the signs and ignore those people. I sometimes wonder tho if I am assuming the worse in someone for showing certain signs when in fact those signs could be a coincidence...? "It's a hard knock life! For us..." LOL

Gushers is actually alot of fun! Use to go there after a night of drinking for their late night buffet. Not sure if they still do that? The service was slow, but it was a fun way to sober up before going home.

So when I go to Vegas I switch it to Vers...and leave a happy happy Guy! lol So yes I get your reaction but understand for us if we put Vers...then bottoms will never hire us and bottoms are most of our client base...well at least for me... So I'd be broke if I put that.

I've noticed a few higher end escorts using rent messure to advertise and get clients - even though we all know they know nothing about being a messure. But, it still allows for them to use Twitter (no longer an option on RentMen) to market themselves. IDK what's next, but gay men have a long history of find ways around ill planned rules and regulations imposed on us. Someone will figure out a solution.

Something has definitely changed with the shut down of Craigslist/Backpage as a result of FOSTA. And with RentMen the only real option left, it's attracting a group of clients we didn't encounter previously.

Maybe its just best to let the escort know what you're into and see if its a match.

As with any communication, just ask the guy what he's into, tell him what you're into and see if you can't rub two sticks together to make fire.

Thanks for the thread. I've wondered about Vers/Top and Vers/Btm for awhile. I figured it was just marketing that might actually only happen once in a very rare situation.

Enlightening. I've always assumed it means, I'm versatile but prefer to top. So, wiser ones, what does versatile bottom mean then?

I cut way back on traveling for the past 10 years, but now becoming more active. Historically, there came a soft knock on my hotel room door, meaning my guest had arrived. And, if I stayed on a limited access floor, or if they heightened security at night, a rentguy balked at the need to meet in the lobby, casino, or.....?
 
I was in Las Vegas recently. Returning soon. No access to elevators without a guest room key. I'm sure heightened security is affecting more than LV.... (Here in SF, 5+ years now, no access to any business office high rises without employee ID or security check-in.)
 
So I'm wondering how or where rentguys prefer to meet hotel clients when they can't just go directly to the room. And, similar question for hotel hosting when security restricts clients' access to hotel rooms.
