  1. United also today has some July $400 roundtrips Washington to Lisbon and $500 RT to Barcelona. Also found a 60K mile Biz ticket to Zurich for July. United has their Europe nonstops on sale big for peak season. edit: for rewards i've discovered that United has wide-open business Polaris on their nonstop DC to Brussels at 60K miles. No other city has much and flights through Brussels to other cites are mostly regular rate which starts at 160K miles. But BRU has cheap flghts all over Europe and it's that red-eye over the Pond that makes Biz class lay-flat seats worth it.
  2. the site's graphics aren't worked too great today. can't see the pic.
  3. United Airlines from IAD. Started June 6. 30K United miles each way usually available and $600 RT's in the fall. United also just started non-stops to Dubrovnik out of Newark which are easy to get and cheap.
  4. for combination of ease-to-get to, gay life, prices, water quality, eye candy etc i've started going to Clearwater a lot during the pandemic. unlike Miami/FTL there was never any lockdown and you'd never know there was a pandemic. the white sugar beach sand is amazing as is the crystal clear water for a mile out. it's almost always rated in the top 10 beaches in the world and usually #1 in America. there's an old gay bar in downtown Clearwater and one in Largo. of course there are several across the line in downtown St Pete. Sarasota also has a gay bar of sorts and is the arts center of Florida. Very upscale town. Both Clearwater and Sarasota have a Columbia Restaurant branch of the famous Tampa Cuban restaurant. If you live in an Allegiant Airlines city either Sarasota or Clearwater/St Pete is usually a $50 fare.
  5. there's a new United nonstop from DC to Athens that's only 30K each way coach and easy to get. i think there's like $600 rt fares also.
  6. Czech is Now Open LINK Interesting in the story is that no vaccination or test is required for entry but it is required at hotels, bars, etc. And the cloth masks and cheap blue masks we use in the US are not enough indoors or on transit. It must be N95 or the cheap KN95 masks which filter 95%. Of course since there are currently no non-stops to Prague, entry into the EU will be in another country's airport so the rules there will apply. I would avoid Germany for now. OTOH I've flown in through Amsterdam a few times and it's great and Nederlands has no vaccine or test required from the US. I have no idea how London connections would go since that would put off your EU entry until Prague, but you may not be able to enter or transit. ""Foreign Minister Jakub Kulhanek announced the addition of the United States to its “green countries” list via Twitter on June 21, which means Americans can resume travel to the country sans a negative COVID-19 test or quarantine thanks to the Czech Republic’s use of the traffic light system, which allows tourists from low-risk nations to bypass the otherwise required testing.""
  7. One set of twins wo worked there Ajay and Micky
  8. It's a shame the Dick's concept didn't catch on in other cities. In most cities, like DC, new nude strip club licenses are banned and it's through the ABC rules that nude strip clubs are dying out. Dick's, by being BYOB and only selling sodas is legal. Obviously they take a cut of the earnings, not just the VIP room fee, because they always had a very firm policy of no phone numbers exchanged. A dancer would tell you that and treat a phone number like Kryptonite (yes i tried several times lol). I don't know where the selection of workers came from a few years ago but it was stunning then. I remember little muscled Ajay who had a twin and did one or two porns, a muscled blond Cal who also came to Secrets once a year, and a muscle young guy who usually wore cowboy boots while nude was on all their ads and evidently also had a twin brother. I think there was another set of twins who both worked the same nights. There were a few other ones a lot less remarkable. A lot depends who who hires the strippers for the club. Before Dicks the scene was up on Central downtown where there was a really big hustler bar and a smaller one on Central, with guys walking the block. I remember 2 different guys i went out with then climbed tall palm trees to prune them as a living. With all the drugs, Broke Straight Boys porn guys, a lot of Gay Hoopla porn guys, Phoenix was raunchy-hot in a way that Dick's never has been. Dick's was sex with clean-cut model material guys on a sofa where they were nude and you weren't and the only rule was you couldn't touch your own dick. dicks2.jfif dicks3.jfif dicks4.jfif dicks7.jfif
  9. It just took weeks to get from 53% to 54% with one shot in the US. 70% with 1 is unlikely.
  10. @Islesguy my biggest concerns would be the UK or US having a Delta variant surge or the US not hitting a good vaccination % to qualify for UK green. otherwise UK should open more in a month. but that's a big "otherwise".
  11. Then DUB may be the new entryway to the UK. I don't think Brexit put up border controls between northern Ireland and Britain and flights DUB to LON could be visa free too. Covid was a harsh way to start Brexit.
  12. Here is Pavel/Steve Saarsgard's ad. You have to use Hunqz in Europe. Pavel checks his messages..... David/Roald Ekberg/Patrik_Sway has a Hunqz ad up as Patrik_Sway in Prague but doesn't check it very often.
  13. I'm wondering if they are checking trains coming through the EuroTunnel to UK. If not AMS or BRU would be good back-ups to LHR. I know between Czech and Germany they are no longer checking cars or trains, only at airports. UK is no longer Schengen but i think still has 3rd country visa-free travel with France.
  14. Not a MD but I love my daily MedPageToday updates. "Nearly all new COVID-related deaths in the U.S. are in people who haven't been vaccinated, as only 0.8% of deaths in May were among fully vaccinated individuals. (AP)" This is good news considering yesterday Israel reported that 50% of new Delta Variant infections were among vaccinated people, meaning deadly cases are prevented. (links everywhere) However, life expectancy took a huge plunge in the US because of covid, disastrously affecting Hispanic communities who have little access to healthcare cutting life expectancy down by over 3 years: COVID-19 reduced overall 2020 US life expectancy by 1.31 years, from 78.74 years to 77.43 years (Table and Figure). The reductions are 3.2 times as large for the Latino population (3.03 years) and twice as large for the Black population (1.90 years) compared with the White population (0.94 years). Direct Link There's also a quick mention of a simpler way to test how efficient the vaccine is in a person to know if another booster is needed. This i worry about a lot in older people and wish we knew. Many people really need a 3rd booster, preferably a different brand, I suspect.
  15. Now offering video sessions at reduced cost booked in 30 minute incriminates. lol-at first i thought he was offering discounted 1/2 hour dates. my kinda guy tho no speller. 😅
  16. Anyone who appreciates not having to carry so many 100's in his wallet to appreciate 200's (especially euros) has a problem many would envy. I'm sure it's helped the guys boost their old 150 rate to 200 now also unfortunately. (still half the US rate). I don't foresee US being allowed in UK really soon.
  17. Steve is Pavel. He has family obligations now so it's complicated. He wants to come work DC with the other friends but I doubt he will make it. He can't be gone that long. He works Munich, Zurich, Berlin, London etc for 5-6 days at a trip. He's extremely high volume. I'm in touch with him, Roald, Thom Jabobs, Tom Rogers and a couple others of that crowd almost daily. They visit here 3 months at a time once or twice a year. @liubitsaw Pavel for several years.
  18. While I agree with you on that, Whole Foods pays exceptionally well. Ditto Trader Joe's which I noticed this week has also raised many prices. I don't think it's just the "unable to hire" low wage issue that I agree should be resolved with good wages. (In fact companies are trying to eliminate jobs with automation).
  19. You're right, only half to 3/4 of the providers i know, in the US and Europe, are working yet but they are making money as fast as they can wash sheets and towels and stock lube. And even if they keep prices, their tips are soaring. I don't know how long before clients' unspent date money runs out. I highly doubt it will last the 16 months it took to save though and until then it's a sellers' market.
  20. Today shopping Delta I saw they announced Nederlands is open, as of today, to US citizens. Yesterday they had a front page announcement that Italy is open. I know Croatia, Greece, and Spain were already open with vaccinations while France opened with both vaccines and tests required. Germany seems to be the major laggard, with the UK still seeming impossible. Amsterdam is important because it is a true "gateway" city from US to Europe with KLM. Also Madrid with Iberia. News? One WayflightWAStoAMS Show Price In:, changes will reload the page Show Price In: $ USDMilesMiles + Cash Sort & FilterSort & Filter Netherlands: Open with No Quarantine Effective June 24, passengers from the US do not need to present vaccinations or COVID test results. Full details.
  21. I'm wondering if in this time of rapid inflation we are going to be seeing these complaints about every product. To be honest, traditionally (long ago?) rates were basically what a bag of heroin was and even now there are plenty of straight guys who become outrageous bottoms for a bag of coke (or the money for another bag). Now people are complaining because escorts are following supply/demand rules like good entrepreneurs. There's a surge in demand right now because of saved spending by clients and the lockdown suddenly coming off. (plus many escorts shifting to OnlyFans, etc during the pandemic). Prices are higher during Mardi Gras in NOLA too. I think of this as a national coming out of lockdown Mardi Gras period. I hope rates don't go so high that when the peak comes off they remain too high for demand. Escorts rarely decrease rates. Many found they did better advertising as "masseurs" for $150 "plus" rather than escorts at $300 and that adjustment was really supply/demand not supporting 300 as a base price for mass market. I'm more concerned with guys raising their rates to 400 from 300 in this surge market and that hurting them later when the economy slows down. In economics they call this the "ratchet effect" where once prices go up they seldom come back down when demand lessens. (although the ratchet effect has permeated much of the market now, not just prices LINK) OTOH there are many many new millionaires in America the past few years and this could become a millionaires market. ( and no, i don't consider home equity a "millionaire" unless someone is mortgaging to pay escorts lol.)
  22. But that implies Jerry Smith and Dave Kopay etc were "unhealthy" examples because they hung out at his gay bar, went to baths, Tilden was "unhealthy" because he was obviously gay, Paris because he hugged his lover in public, etc etc. This is like religions that say it's ok to be homosexual so long as you don't have any gay sex. You don't have to be nonsexual or conform to "straight" appearance to be "ok".
  23. But a press conference announcement today sells out your jerseys which you get a hefty royalty from (am i being too cynical?) I guess it's a major accomplishment that being gay is a staged marketing tactic now. The struggles !
  24. From everything I've read Tilden flaunted his gayness pretty openly in an Oscar Wilde sort of way. (I'm not sure if Oscar Wilde ever had a press conference to announce being gay either lol). Unfortunately he also flaunted his fondness for teenage boys which was not smart.
  25. In Australia footballers do publicity to appeal to gay fans and highlight gay players. Now that gay is "in" in the US, the NFL is cashing in on the potential market too with this staged press conference. In reality there's hundreds of gay players in the NFL and openly-gay athletes have been a part of our history for 100 years. Remember, years ago homosexual acts were illegal many or most places and that and clauses against "immorality" and "negative publicity" would have prevented openly gay NFL players from holding press conferences to announce being gay, even if they were openly gay. Here's an article from an ESPN series done on gay athletes in 1998-99. http://www.espn.com/otl/world/timeline.html Bill Tilden in 1920 was probably the first major US athlete out and Mr. Universe, Bob Paris was probably the most famous.
