Many stories today about how many meat packers will be closing down because so many of their workers are infected. Time to learn vegan. I'm surprised more grocery workers aren't also dropping or refusing to work. The masks and shields make a big difference now but what about the thousands of people who breathed on them the last month? Also, how much longer are these factories making processed food going to stay open, much less the meat packing plants. And I hope the truckstops are more sanitary than I remember.

Finally did "Tiger King", Joe Exotic yesterday. Could not stop in the 7 hours. Stayed up til 2. Easy to see why the country is mesmerized. Needed the "comic" relief after Westworld and The Outsider. Growing up down south I can relate.

I got some early in March but since then I've had the same canceling problems. Of the masks that look good and are comfortable and cheap now the bicycle masks are still around. They're cheap, high tech and replaceable filter screens. Bicycle stores may have them. Eddie Bauer and some sports places have neck gaiters. I don't understand the shortage of the cheap paper masks online. If you're around a doc's office. hospital, etc they'll give you one if you say you don't want to sneeze or cough on anyone. My Kaiser receptionist gave me one in fractions of a second before I got the word "or" out. FWIW- Amazon is selling N95 masks to medical people for 85 cents shipped overnight.

Physical Distancing

+1 I get furious that people don't wear masks around others . No one knows who has the virus and is spreading it but we do know a huge number do and it's much more contagious than anything we've experienced before. Not wearing a mask is a huge Fuck You to people you pass or go in a store with. If masks were law here, as in several countries, our infection and death rate may be halved.

I have a number of Slovak regulars/friends. Bel Ami is in Slovakia and most of my guys live in southern Czech next to Slovakia. It's like West Virginia is to Virginians. And they usually are brunette and brown eyes instead of blond and green eyes. Bel Ami never gives the correct nationality of their actors. Don't know if he's BA but I doubt he's Slovak. Probably Czech.

every store's different almost at random. some are stocked and few customers, others have lines down the block. many let over-60's in early.

Westworld was great season 1 but then season 2 they couldn't remember what they were about except gratuitous killing, killing, killing, culminating in that ridiculous visit to SamuriTown.wtf. I guess they noticed their Rotten Tomatoes viewer score dropped 20 points and brought back the original story and Anthony Hopkins. Haven't seen the new season 3 episodes yet. My friend said that Westworld and The Outsider that I watched through, were not the best "entertainment" for coronavirus time and he's probably right. I feel Tiger King coming on. Comedy needed.

How I feel when people around me in a grocery store don't wear masks.

I had heard Derek was on "coronavirus lockdown" the past few years.

Several DC grocery stores have had employees with coronavirus with a couple deaths. This story by my house doesn't even mention two other local Trader Joes that have closed for scrubbing after an employee got sick. The large supermarkets are not even closing to clean. When you must go in any grocery wear the best mask you have, glasses, and sanitize, sanitize, sanitize. Shower and change clothes when back home.

Why mask and not masks? Are you assuming 1 mask would stop both intake and exhale? IDK.
