  1. It's part of my portfolio, but not a large one, and it is with a large company that's been around forever.
  2. I've asked similar questions and to a person they have an exit strategy. Some are mundane like being a realtor or some type of sales (hey, selling yourself as a RM is good training I'd think, many are in some sort of IT, web designer, etc. I've lost track of one who I think has made the leap who was in sort of corporate position that involved scheduling meets around zoom calls. They had a plan, were socking away the money and generally realized the someday they'd age out of the business.
  3. Aren't there like a thousand theories about this - size of fingers, length from your wrist to the tip of your thumb, etc. Haven't pretty much all of them been prove to be bogus?
  4. As long as we don't talk politics, I'd do him.
  5. If you expand the 2nd pic I can read the word "witness".
  6. And not "went over the rainbow bridge"
  7. No, it isn't. It is owned by the Aldi family, which also owns Trader Joe's but that's it https://www.almostallaldi.com/are-aldi-and-trader-joes-the-same-company/
  8. And typing the K last name is better?
  9. Spot on. I go back and forth between wanting to get that monkey off my back and thinking that it would be better to keep the cash in the accounts.
  10. This is much on my mind recently. I'm way closer to retirement that it seems possible - time flies! We will have two good pensions and more money stashed away for retirement, Insurance will continue although at a somewhat higher rate. House is getting close to being paid off but there will be a residue left on the mortgage, small enough that we could dip into savings and pay it off. We have nice buy not extravagant city living. The one thing we really plan to do is to get anything medical related that we know of done - eye care, dental, etc. But, still we worry about running out of money. The latest stock downturn is worrisome. We don't want to stop traveling since that's what retirement is all about!
  11. I'm not big on fast food, but in a pinch, like when driving on the interstate and I'm limited to off-ramp fare my go to is the Wendy's spicy chicken sandwich with fries. I don't make many stands, but I don't care how good it in Chick-fil-a will never get a penny of my money. Every little bit helps the cause. McDonald's just sucks. I've never found a decent fast food sub. Either there aren't any fillings to speak of, or the bread can be very bad. Jimmy John's stores have a funny smell.
  12. I've never been formally diagnosed, but what I experience are the classic symptoms - searing pain in the middle of my heel, very difficult to walk. What has worked for me is: as often as you can, with legs straight point your toes toward your nose and pull until it begins to hurt, repeat several times. change up your shoes, I haven't found it especially matters how, but grab a different pair out of the closet. Switch them out frequently. I do this when I begin to think "I feel at attack coming on" and I can usually stave it off this way.
  13. This isn’t a scene I Follow. But isn’t this a certain event, not a full change of policy?
  14. News today is that prices at the Costco cafe are rising. The iconic dog plus soda is staying the same.
  15. I remember him way back to Rabbit Run. That big harry chest sent me over the top.
  16. I've found that my grocery shopping has changed. I used to make a list and then go to the store and buy exactly that. Down to the brands I customarily buy. Now prices are, of course, way up, but my local has specials all over the place, sometimes it seems like there are more yellow sale signs that regular ones. I find myself coming with a short list of "must haves" that I pick up and then I browse the aisles looking for good deals and there are a lot. Sometimes 2 for 1, sometimes the regular price has gone up but a special brings the price below what the old one was. I check out the "dump bin", and find some amazing things, Progresso soup for $.39 (not all kinds, but I'll eat almost any soup). Sometimes name brands that are normally prices at 2x with store brand will be on sale for less that the store brand. Meat that is perfectly fine in a special bin for a great price. A pound of hamburger might he high prices, but the same weight in formed patties might be in the special bin for a fraction of the price. They place veggies that you need to use like that day in the same spot as normal ones, but with reduction stickers. All over the place, but by hunting around I'm not sure my bills are much higher than in the past.
  17. According to the news last night the rate is also beginning to drop around Chicago. We'll see if it holds, but many people I know had the light version in the past months, and we good percentage vaccinated or with recent recovery from infection, it may turn out that with requirements turning into recommendations may have worked. I also know a number of people who got the pill with a certain number of days and described it as a "miracle."
  18. Going waaay back to high school there were all these rules that kids made up like you don't wear a yellow shirt on Thursday. Kids make up crazy things.
  19. I've been told that many cars will adjust to the type of gas your using. If a car call fro premium and gets regular it was downgrade performance accordingly. The car will run just fine, but you'll lose the performance you paid for when you bought the car.
  20. I travel to SF frequently, and am really sad at how far down it has gone. I don't feel especially unsafe, but it just isn't a nice place to be. Formerly I'd extend my business trip by a few days if I could. Now I get in and out at quickly as I can. Really too bad.
  21. Glowing letters to the management and a big basket of treats for them to share. I don't think it needs to be healthy, everyone has a little junk food monster inside them. Just make sure the treats are wrapped.
  22. Getting ready to be fucked doggie style. The guy began to move me into position and said "oh, you aren't very bendy"
  23. I once was included on a mass mailing sent by an escort letting them know we has going to be in town. HUGH faux pas! It looked like at least most of the emails were burners.
  24. These pop up as facebook ads a lot. $188 seems like a lot of money for a few cents worth of plastic, I do love the throught of a few cents per use - they wear out! I guess trying one couldn't hurt as long as you pay attention and take it off if needed, but $188 for something I'm guessing is a toy one might use a few times seems a bit pricey. Lot's of good information here - sounds like use is fairly safe: https://www.healthline.com/health/erectile-dysfunction/giddy-review#safety
