Great to recall those old SoCal places. Went to the Boom a lot, usually after dinner at Mark’s or Shame on the Moon. Sundays at West Street beach. When I first got out of college, I lived in Belmont Shore, so I could walk to Ripples. Also, Garden Grove once had about 5 bars, believe it or not. DOC West and Rumor Hazzit were fun, although the GG police, we called it Garbage Grove, were often hassling patrons at both. I remember a cute twink in black leather being arrested at Rumor Hazzit. I have no idea what for. There also used to be hustlers on Garden Grove Boulevard, near the adult book store near the old Campus gay bar. All gone now.

Even though I can afford a W, I share your preferences for places like that when I travel. Usually Hampton Inn, Hilton Garden Inn, or Courtyard by Marriott. All great for hosting on the road, and I can stow my bike in the janitor’s space,

I forgot about that place. There was a blond provider around 2003-2005 from Manhattan, Dylan, who used to stay there all the time. He invited me to his 21st birthday there, but I wasn’t able to make it. Glad it’s still there.

I’ve been enjoying the upside ride on a blockchain investment I made in September. One was only allowed to invest $250, so I figured if I lost it it’s nothing more than a trip to Costco.

Tampa seems to have more twinks than most, but I haven’t noticed the other cities since I don’t visit them. Worth monitoring, though.

Everything I ordered was in stock and arrived on time. Nordstrom, in particular, got gifts out quickly. As did Parachute. Neither the supply chain issues nor inflation has affected me yet. The gifts all featured Black Friday or Cyber Monday discounts!
