No I wouldn't consider the monitor in my car. Too Big Brother. I just hope the insurance companies don't convince the government monitoring should be mandatory some day...... I've always had my insurance with State Farm. I do shop to compare rates every two or three years but SF always comes out on top. I've never had a claim so I can't say how they would handle it. I have heard that you shouldn't ever buy the roadside assistance coverage from your insurance company. They will sometimes treats assistance calls like claims and jack up your rates. I don't know if this is something SF would do or not.
