That price better include all kinds of extras! The max price I will pay is usually $200 for 90 minutes (for a two-handed; understandably, a 4-handed will cost more). Any time I've paid more than $200, I've usually regretted it.

I was in NYC this week and someone quoted $500 for 90 mins. That was first for me.

Traveling guys may differ from normal. They tend to have a captive audience depending on where they’re going and how long they’re staying. If few good options are normally available in a given market, that can drive up demand, and with it, prices.
When I travel, I keep my prices constant and have no lack of appointments filling my schedule from morning to night. At least twice as many same day requests I have to turn down because I’m booked. I could easily charge more based on that high demand but I prefer having plenty of others ready and willing to snatch an appointment when someone else cancels or no-shows. Pricing is not a barrier to seeing me as much as availability is, so I fill in those spots very quickly with same day requests. Suddenly people get a lot less picky about start time when there’s one spot left, take it or leave it.
$200+ for (1) hour of *actual* massage is bonkers. At that rate bracket, I would expect a lot of extras, rip-off schemes, unskilled massages, time shorting, or other unprofessional shenanigans. I charge $195 for 90 mins and it’s truly an excellent massage.
My 60 min massage is $140. A lot of other pro masseurs hover between $120-$160. Much more than that and something is not right. Either that, or you’re getting much more than massage and you’re paying for it. Which is fine by the way, it’s just not fair to compare with regular massage sessions. It’s a different service. Apples and oranges.
I acknowledge local markets differ. NYC, LA, SF and others will naturally be much higher across the board.

Saw him a few years ago in Dallas (pre-COVID). Safe setup in a chain hotel near the Medical District/Design District, along I-35. My erotic session did not end as shown above -- guess I'm not his type? Think there was an HE; not sure there was MT, and I don't feel like he encouraged it. The massage was fine, but I thought he was overpriced. I scheduled a 4-handed session with him and his partner Bryan on a later trip, but it was just as COVID hit and I backed out at the last minute (did all the scheduling through Bryan and he was totally cool with it). Hope this helps.

The masseur didn't go nuts, but it was an odd session (and stupid of me to keep the appointment).
A traveling masseur was in town for a second time a few months after I scheduled him on his initial visit. The first session was OK (other than being in a sketchy hotel), so I scheduled another one.
The second hotel was even sketchier and was along I-35, not terribly far from Love Field. I arrived early, parked near his room (the doors opened to the outside), and for some reason decided to back my SUV into the parking space. While I waited for our appointment time to get closer, I saw his door open and 2 strange guys walk out, followed by the masseur. They spoke briefly, then the 2 guys walked down the row of rooms and farther away from the hotel.
By this time, our appointment time was close, so I -- like an idiot -- walked to his room, which was a mess. I casually asked the masseur about the 2 guys; he said they were sharing a room and wouldn't be around. The masseur appeared to be drunk or high, and he used regular lotion during the massage -- which only lasted about 30 minutes. When he provided an HE and asked if I needed anything else, I said "No thanks," got dressed, paid him, and got the hell out of there. Never again.

The Chatty Cathy types annoy me. There was one traveling masseur that I booked twice on his trip through Dallas; he was chatty the first time, so I gave him a pass -- and he was exactly the same on the second visit. And it was even chatting about ME, the client, it was all about him. No thanks.

If anyone requests private pics of me on Adam4Adam I share freely. 95% of those do not display any sort of pic on their profile. I don’t mind. It means they’re interested and already engaging me in some way. It’s great marketing!
Regarding private galleries, Rentmasseur is even better. It means someone is considering hiring your services. It’s a good thing. So what if they don’t book? Not everyone likes what they see (shocking!), and isn’t that kind of the point? To see if the man physically appeals to you?
Often clients are on the fence or waiting until the right time, or planning a trip. Any number of good reasons apply. You never know. Even if it’s just a lookie-loo, who cares? More views = more clients considering hiring. Never a bad thing in my IMO.

I had a couple of masseurs here in Dallas do the same thing to me -- one or two peeks at their private pics, I didn't schedule, and blam! I was blocked.

I agree. It’s common and nobody should be scandalized by discussions of erotic and sensual elements. It’s not a big deal to say no, sorry I don’t offer xyz. It’s also ok to request a phone call if the provider is being sensitive to providing information in writing. It’s also ok to list erotic and/or sensual and have different definitions of what those mean and to clarify with the client “I offer abc, but not xyz”.

Wow, lots of mental health issues. Makes me sad.
Then the politics issue. Urggg, can’t people keep this to themselves? We’re here for massage, not to vote.
I feel like I’ve dodged many a bullet getting massages from by-and-large normal, stable, professional people.
Have yet to run into any lizard people. 😂

I err on the side of caution. @DWnycHow do you suggest, from the client perspective, the best way to go about upselling, assuming time is no issue for them or for me? Assume it’s a first time client and I have no info about previous client interest, or their willingness or ability to pay? Again…the scenario is the client is asking for services, or assuming something is already included that isn’t…not me suggesting or bringing it up out of nowhere.
Not sure how to handle this because every client is different. I would say from past experience way more than 50% of the time one of the factors is working against us like time or willingness to pay or ability to pay. A lot of times a client will scoff or be put off by a high number, or saddened and disappointed because they’re willing but unable to pay it. Kind of ruins the vibe. Since one of these is more than likely to occur, I generally avoid having the conversation after the session begins.
If the client asks for something directly and makes it very clear that they are able and willing to pay, I have no problems discussing and offering services, but that is exceedingly rare. Most clients have a hard time asking for even the most basic of things like more/less pressure. I appreciate a direct client. There’s no reason to be embarrassed or shy about your needs.
