I forgot about Greg! Ronnie was his massage and life partner. I saw them separately and together for 4-handed sessions (seeing them separately didn't seem to be a problem with them). They were great, their sessions were very fun -- until they both ghosted me with no explanation (think they were still together, or maybe Greg ghosted me after he and Ronnie broke up -- it's been a long time since all of that).
I had texted Ronnie 3 times in a 24-hour period to schedule a session -- he never replied, so I gave up. Maybe too much texting? Then a few months later Greg was willing to schedule a session but said he had to work through some family situation -- and I never heard from him again. 
I also miss Jeremy -- saw him off and on for years. Think he still lives in Dallas -- thought I saw him in the 'hood about a year ago, but his ad has been down for a while.

My issue has been that I find someone I really like and use them, then switch to someone just for a change -- and then the person I really like stops massaging, and I kick myself.

There are three or four I like - one is the best and whenever I see him I wonder why I ever book others.  Then sometimes I want to have a different experience and I feel guilty even though I very seriously doubt he cares (at least, I hope he doesn't) …and sometimes I feel guilty for not rotating enough - like I’m not supporting their small businesses.  It’s more complicated in my mind than it needs to be.

Then he tried to get me to join a cult. 
I no longer felt safe on his table. I tried to make it work, give him time to get over or through or out of the cult.  I thought he had and then I realized he's in too deep.
I found a few other guys over the years, but they either moved away or got out of the business. 
I see someone now who's a total dom. He's really good. I'm a little afraid of him, but I communicate what I want and he respects my boundaries.

I finally found a local guy that I like; I've seen him a couple of times, and he's reasonably priced (he has a full-time job in a healthcare-related field and doesn't charge exorbitant prices). However, he's not my preferred physical type: he has a solid build, but he's pretty smooth and in his 30s, and I like 'em more mature and hairy -- but his skills and pricing are great, so I'll probably see him again.
I also like to try visiting masseurs. That's been a very mixed bag -- some good providers, some average ones, and a couple who were terrible, but I keep trying!

I see no problem with that obsession other than needing a money tree!

When I lived on the east and west coasts I had 3 in each location that I would rotate.  Now that I live in the midwest I see one regular who gives and incredible deep tissue massage and I have a back up.  The back up has another job so between our schedules its incredibly difficult to schedule.  The market I live in is second tier and the pickings aren't great. When visitors come through some of them think they can charge coastal prices which I'm unwilling to pay based on what's available locally. 

Unfortunately, I have this obsession with lists, once I make them I have to complete them.  I have a Wish List of MF providers I would like to experience, it has 80 providers in my area, of which I have seen 73.  The other 7 aren't as urgent and I'm willing to wait.  The absolute worst for me is when someone from the list, especially one that has been on it for a while stops advertising and I missed out.  FOMO is real.   
There was a provider from MIA that I just didn't drive down to see after years on being listed, and now he's gone and I regret it so much.  
There are a few locals that are excellent I mean to go back to and keep as a regular, but then someone from my list visits and well...

I think there’s an excitement in the new - the anxiety, the allure, the not knowing. But I keep going back to familiar providers mostly because 1. the ones who made me feel like they enjoyed it too are top of the roster and 2. some of the new guys pricing has gotten out of whack for me (yesterday a provider quoted $500 for a 50 min strictly therapeutic massage). Sometimes consistency beats excitement.

Feeling a bit nostalgic today.  Wondered about some of the massage guys from years ago and where are they now.  My favorite was Dale Brown who operated Texas Massage Dallas.  He had a couple of locations in office buildings off Central Expwy.  The most talented, both in technique and sensuality, of any therapist I’ve experienced.  Then one day, he was gone.   Anyone know what happened?   Anyone have other old favorites?

When I saw him last fall, he opted to leave the RV in Austin and stayed in a hotel. My session was similar to yours - and he shorted me 30 minutes, which I didn't notice until after the session was over and I looked at my watch. 

Had a session with Kris and while a hot guy. Massage was not good. I think if you go in with a massage in mind this is not your guy. He gets piggy tho 

I am torn. The experience is probably worth it given the overwhelmingly positive feedback here, but I've been resisting the move up to $200 an hour as a matter of principle. Especially when masseurs with no or mixed record try to go there. I see it as my civic duty 🙂
