Mannix Posted Sunday at 01:00 AM Posted Sunday at 01:00 AM Feeling a bit nostalgic today. Wondered about some of the massage guys from years ago and where are they now. My favorite was Dale Brown who operated Texas Massage Dallas. He had a couple of locations in office buildings off Central Expwy. The most talented, both in technique and sensuality, of any therapist I’ve experienced. Then one day, he was gone. Anyone know what happened? Anyone have other old favorites? BigNoiseDallas Posted Sunday at 02:02 AM Posted Sunday at 02:02 AM I loved Dale and his partner Eric -- they were fantastic masseurs and very nice guys. They moved to Fort Lauderdale/Wilton Manors or some such. Eric became a certified home inspector and is doing that. Dale continued to massage; I saw him a couple of times here when he returned for a few days (Eric was supposed to come but backed out at the last minute due to his job). Dale told me then he was going to retire from massaging; he was having some health issue (back or neck) and was going to take over the business operations of Eric's work. That was pre-COVID, so at least 2019.
OCDallas Posted Sunday at 03:42 AM Posted Sunday at 03:42 AM I know it’s only been 4 years but I miss having BrandonJ around
viewing ownly Posted Sunday at 04:39 AM Posted Sunday at 04:39 AM Two Dallas guys from the distant past that are still around doing massage are adult star Reece Scott, who has been on masseur finder for a small forever - and his number has been the same for decades! https://www.masseurfinder.com/massage-therapists/37362/ Not to worry if he's unavailable. He's likely away filming content, and will be back. Reviews of him on here are numerous and positive. The other guy from Dallas eons ago who still looks handsome and performs massage is now in Hilo, AlexZ. https://www.rentmasseur.com/BigislandAlex BigNoiseDallas 1

+ Gar1eth Posted Sunday at 05:46 AM Posted Sunday at 05:46 AM (edited) Fourteen years ago I used to routinely see a guy-who had a condo on Bowser just a bit N of Lemon Avenue. I can't think of his name. He had red hair. I'd book him for 2 hours. During the first hour he would give me a great massage. During the second hour, 😈😈😈😈!!!! Edited Sunday at 05:48 AM by Gar1eth

Big Island Alex is the 3rd guy down in the second column, and Dann is the 4th guy down in the 4th column, when he was clean-shaven and more tan. https://www.texashistory.unt.edu/ark:/67531/metapth615497/m1/63/ mattadams865214 and BigNoiseDallas 1 1
UpsideDallas Posted Sunday at 03:10 PM Posted Sunday at 03:10 PM Great thought provoking topic. Here are some of my Dallas memories (some good, some not): In no particular order: 1. Dale - I second your post. Best ever in Dallas. 2. Steve of Z Massage in Mesquite - had a great website, displayed some great pics that promised a strong, masculine, sensual adventure. He had a second floor studio in his town home in Mesquite. Answered the door in a tank top and shorts, at first glance didn’t appear as muscular or as masculine as the website suggested. Up the stairs and on the table, when he entered the room to start the session, he had changed into what can best be described as a lycra spandex body suit in some blazing pastel color. Turned out to be totally fem. Massage skills were mediocre. Session ended by being wrapped in blankets like an enchilada while a lavendar scent vaporizer dispensed a sickening aroma in the room. Needless to say, I skipped the shower and never returned. 3. Chuck with Avalon Massage (Ft Worth) - saw Chuck several times. First time, he was in one of those low-rent one-room offices south of Ft Worth. The whole building was dark and mostly vacant, and Chuck had an office at the end of the dark hall, across from the restroom. What he lacked in ambience, he made up for in massage skills and sensuality. He later moved to a nice studio off I-30 on the east side of Fort Worth. Saw him several more times prior to Covid. Last I checked, his studio was vacant and I don’t know where he ended up. 4. Barry - East side of downtown Dallas - Barry had a set up at his apartment in a nice complex just east of downtown. First time I met him, he met me at the gate of his gated complex, in shorts and a t-shirt. Appeared to be small in stature. Nice apartment and set up. Massage skills were very good. Also offered some great play time off and on throughout the session. Later, he even added bamboo sticks as part of the massage, Unique and relaxing. Heard he died several years ago after moving away from Dallas. 5. Mark in Cedar Springs (near Love Field) - works out of the second floor of his home. Beautiful place, great set up. Very muscular guy and very personable. Started off the session with a body scrub, then showered, then back to table for amazing massage. He started off the session wearing a red jock strap, which was hot ! Later, the strap was removed to reveal ... well, let’s just say he was one of those best described as “hung like a horse” Saw him off and on for years up until Covid. Not sure if he is still working, I think he has some health issues along the way. 6. Bill in Cedar Springs. He used to advertise in the Dallas Voice. Had sort of a “jar head” appearance. Worked out of his apartment. A bit run down. Massage skills were just slightly above average. Not much on the extras either. A one-timer for me. 7. Floyd - Floyd’s Touch. Great website, checked all the right boxes so I scheduled. Had a studio set up on the second floor of his home in Carrolton. Great guy. Used a massage vibrating gun for part of the session (a first for me). Very interactive. I saw him a few times, but finally gave up because it was too far away for me, too much traffic. These are but a few . . .

These are but a few . . . Barry: Yep, he passed away -- colon cancer. He and my husband were in the Turtle Creek Chorale together. Never had playtime with him. Mark -- You're correct on all fronts. I saw him for about a year. He apparently retired -- he advertised on Masseurfinder, his ad disappeared a few months ago. Bill -- If we're talking about the same Bill, I saw him a couple of times -- thought the massage was fine and the HE was standard. If I remember correctly, I saw him in a very small apartment that he only used as a studio. And if it's the same guy, he used to give chair massages at Whole Foods on Lemmon and Lomo Alto. Floyd -- Agree. I saw him several times, but he takes Saturdays off -- and that's my prime time for a massage.
Mannix Posted Sunday at 11:03 PM Author Posted Sunday at 11:03 PM More of “DALLAS - Back in the Day” I couldn’t wait to get my hands on the lastest Dallas Voice and peruse the classified to find another massage opportunity. Those guys had to catch the reader’s attention in such a small space with limited text. I booked with Michael Winsor - great session. And there was Greg, who advertised as “Manly Kneads” - I saw him several times and he truly fulfilled my “Manly Needs”. I booked with Don Blaylock who ran a combination massage and colonic cleansing operation. I never tried the colonic clensing, but his massage was great. And his wonderful hairy body that he shared genrously made the session that much more rewarding. Mark Holly was the first black massage therapist I ever hired. His skills were amazing and he was so handsome. Dann Birkholz - Tried him back then, have tried him now. I guess I should have figured he was destined for a career in porn. Troy was a surprise. So much strength, and so much potential, but no real connection. Left me wanting more. Geroge Shaw - the poster boy for the dirty old man massage.... LOL I went back several times. I wish the Dallas Voice would run a series on “Where Are They Now”.
