I think you meant the counter to "This Is Us" didn't you? I've been enjoying both shows; interesting storylines, good performances, and characters I get attached to. Strange coincidence (?) that both shows have a young child coming out to family members.

A bowl of orecchietti pasta with italian sausage and drizzled with a nice simple olive oil dressing. Top it with some shredded parmesan cheese. A little salt and pepper to taste of course.

If I could have but one food for the rest of my life it would be pizza with anchovies and pineapple. I don't think I've eaten pizza this century. I was so surprised when friends told me how unhealthy it was. It has all the food groups. Bread, meat, fruit, vegetables, dairy.

When I was in the Army, I was stationed at the American hospital in Heidelberg. It was actually in a suburb of Heidelberg, in a town called Rohrbach. The restaurants and the Gasthauses in that part of town were just outstanding. It seemed impossible to get a bad meal.
 
When somebody rotated back to the States, it was customary for all of their friends and colleagues to take them out to dinner at their choice of place. A friend asked me to take him to the Hotel Ritter - one of the nicest hotels in Heidelberg. I gulped and said "OK." It was a lot of fun. We had Chateaubriand, carved tableside and some sort of flaming dessert. I remember the check was 90.00 Marks - about $30.00 - big money in the 70s.

Cities are different depending on the season and weather. Paris and Rome can be cold and unfriendlu in the winter, especially if you are trying to sell a car in February. By Late June they are very different, wonderful cities.

Jack Webb played essentially the same character in the 1950s film Pete Kelly's Blues, but with jazz singers Ella Fitzgerald and Peggy Lee. Lee may have been nominated for a best Supporting Actress that year. She steals the movie from Webb.

I also regularly watched Dragnet. I was attracted to Joe Friday's clinical detachment.

I've not had a haircut in almost four years. And I have not shaved in over six months. My apartment shares the parking lot with a hair salon. My landlord was just here. I told him that I'd like / needed a haircut and shave. So he went over and brought me one of stylist's business cards. She was not in.
 
So I'm going to call in a few days. She'll need to come here.

The last Kings of Poland were the Tsars of Russia. Before that the ruler of Saxony. Before that it was an elective monarchy. Whoever that person was he might have been the descendant of one of the elected monarchs but he had no real actual legitimate claim to the Polish Throne.
 
Btw one of the 88 constellations is named to honor a Polish King.

I had similar experience with an older man who claimed to have written the lyrics for several Broadway musicals that later were films. One was Kismet.
