A sleeping’s Hell Kitchen man awoke to find a stranger grabbing his genitals before the silent intruder bolted from the apartment early Thursday, cops said.

Many of the newsstands along the IND lines of the New York subway were bathrooms 50 years ago. They stank and evil things happened there. I was on a grand jury many years ago with an assistant DA who probably was the inspiration for Mariska Hargitay's character on Law and Order SVU presented a case. It involved a shy young effeminate gay black man who had been raped in one of the bathrooms one stop away from my stop. We jurors sat there in horror as this DA quietly and methodically questioned the victim into describing explicitly what had happened to him. The old white haired ladies in the first row sat there with their mouths agape. We were all in stunned silence. I've always admired the immense courage of that young man and hope he got the resources to recover from that incident.

I think "happiness" is the wrong goal. My days are filled with moments of joy and contentment and moments of deep frustration. But in general, I wouldn't describe myself as a very happy person. But I'm a very satisfied person. I have worked hard and developed my skills and my intellect. My income is in line with my professional and intellectual development. My work is very challenging. It's something that only a few people are up to doing. My personal trainer tagged me on his instagram page a few days ago and said I have a "fiery determination to be the best." I get a lot of satisfaction from "my fiery determination to be the best," but it isn't all a bed of roses.

I like to maximize my happiness by combining two objectives. I am usually happy on Thursdays, when we go out shopping while our housecleaner cleans the house, so I am spending money to buy both the things I want and freedom from doing something I don't enjoy. I don't like cooking and am not good at it, so I am also happy when I go to a restaurant for dinner, since I can purchase meals that I like to eat but don't want to or can't make at home.

There have been a few SVU episodes that included it, including one in which Ian Somerholder raped John Ritter's kid (his younger brother) and then they began raping and killing people together. Whoopi Goldberg's ex was their drunken father.

It is not uncommon. There has been a lot of stories about this, particularly in the military, for years. Due to the shame the victim often feels, it is significantly under reported. Years ago (90s) there was a storyline about this on Hollyoaks as well.

Yes. We adopted him from the county shelter, where he been brought by animal control after he was picked up as a stray. He had no chip nor any other I.D.. One of the conditions for adoption was that we were required to have him chipped and neutered. He had obviously been raised in a home, because he was in good physical shape and perfectly house-trained. If the previous owners had chipped him, of course, we would probably never have encountered him, so in a way I'm glad they didn't chip him.

Yes, my two dogs are chipped.

Both of my cats were microchipped as soon as they arrived at the shelter as kittens. As @deej mentioned, they were also neutered so I didn't have to worry about that. All I had to do was get their second set of kitten shots done about three weeks after I adopted them.

It varies widely, as do most regulations regarding pets.
 
If you adopt an animal from a shelter it will likely be chipped (and spayed or neutered). They prepare the animals in responsible ways before making them available for adoption.
 
Get a puppy or a kitten? Little is required beyond basic inoculations and some people ignore even that.

My mom used to make white, green and pink divinity for Christmas but for her pink and green divinity she used red and green food coloring, not natural colors (like berries or natural plant greens) to tint the candy. I believe that some of those food colorings she used back then, (1960's & 1970's) especially red, were banned by the food and drug administration at some point.
