Why did you never visit Rome or England? London is only a six hour flight from the east coast. I did not visit Rome until 2006. But, my first time in Italy was 1973, but just San Remo near Monaco.
I have no regrets. There would be so much to see I could not fit everything in. I'd be disappointed. But I can visit these places online.
Before the internet I'd buy travel guide books. I especially liked the DK Eyewitness Travel Guide ones. Lots of pictures. I have over 50 of them plus others.
In 1985 I took my grandmother to Washington DC for 10 days. There was so much I didn't see.

Perphas you just have a romantically, outsized view of Rome.
True! I have never been anywhere. I have an idealized picture of what Rome, England etc. should be. If I were ever there I'd be disappointed. Now it's too late to visit. All I have is the fantasy.

What event in your relationship do you count your anniversaries from?

Good for you, @Avalon. We all knew you would feel like a new man! I wonder what took you so long, with a hairdresser so close to you..
I didn't remember the name of the hair salon.
It was nice to catch up on all the gossip with the two ladies. They knew me but I didn't recognize them. But that's how it usually is.

I think you meant the counter to "This Is Us" didn't you? I've been enjoying both shows; interesting storylines, good performances, and characters I get attached to. Strange coincidence (?) that both shows have a young child coming out to family members.
You are correct. Thank-you! I have fixed it. "The Sum of Us" is a gay Australian movie starring Russell Crowe.

I had not heard of this movie before. It was just mentioned on the radio.
The KKK besides being anti black and anti Jewish is also anti gay and anti Catholic.
The movie does take some liberties. Nevertheless this evil group needs to be exposed.

My taste is simple: fried chicken!
Years ago there was a KFC here; it has closed down. I especially liked their mashed potato bowl.

He has a female face tattoo on one leg. I would think that would be a turn off when it comes to male male sex.

A bowl of orecchietti pasta with italian sausage and drizzled with a nice simple olive oil dressing. Top it with some shredded parmesan cheese. A little salt and pepper to taste of course.
That sounds delightful!

Back in my pre diabetic days for breakfast I'd have cereal. Corn flakes (the Rooster), Cheerios, Raisin Bran. I'd put artificial sugar on it. 2% milk.
In my pre diabetes life I used artificial sugar, salt substitute. I'd drink diet soft drinks. & etc..

The barber just left. I am feeling good! Got rid of the hair and the beard. She trimmed the eyebrows. I'm a new man!
She charged $10. I gave her $20!
Btw the woman who cut my hair said that alot of girls want my hair color - white.

I'd like to see a permanent mural in Washington DC showing US history from 1607 the founding of Jamestown until 9/11 in 2001.
-
Too bad it could not be made permanent.

Coming to Netfix on 25 January. I'm looking forward to it. That historical period is one of my interests.

Jack Webb played essentially the same character in the 1950s film Pete Kelly's Blues, but with jazz singers Ella Fitzgerald and Peggy Lee. Lee may have been nominated for a best Supporting Actress that year. She steals the movie from Webb.
I've not seen that movie.
I remember him from Sunset Boulevard.

The hairdresser next to your place should be back by now. Have you made an appointment, @Avalon?
I just called her. She is not in the salon yet. Doesn't seem to be a problem. My landlord had explained my situation to her. I hope she can do it today. I told all I wanted was for her to set the clippers on 0.

That is a classic group. Hmm I just thought about Richard Harris and Peter O'Toole. Lot of great stories of debauchery there.
Richard Harris could sing for you

I like ground rabbit. Years ago (80s) I had several (female) friends who were on a diet program. They had to go in and weigh every morning and there were pills they had to take. One's husband was a butcher and he made ground rabbit. It was good. Very lean. I used it like hamburger.

The Big Kids
I've been a fan of the show since I was a teenager. I now watch it 50 years later. I think this is the only episode that mentions homosexuality. But just in passing. The captain talks about the problems facing modern youth (1960s).

Oh please.....with your choices below
In my pre diabetic days I tried to stay away from sweets and candies. But I did like potatoes especially baked ones. I think that Wendy's used to have a good one. And I liked to make sandwiches. As I said I don't cook so I could buy a loaf of bread and luncheon meat and be all set.

No wonder you have the medical issues you’ve cataloged!!
I know. But as I've said diabetes is genetic in my family.

I can't remember ever eating or fixing mac & cheese.

I wondering what event couples celebrate as their anniversary as some couples do not get married.
