I had a 90 minute appointment with him in DC about a year ago. While I now try to avoid massages on a bed, the session was on a bed at a nice hotel a block from DuPont Circle. He offered different rates for therapeutic and sensual and I booked sensual for a reasonable rate. Agree with another poster that the massage was C+, but the sensual components sort of eclipsed the massage at some point. Once the interaction became significant, he asked if I wanted an escort experience, which I declined. Still, there was a high degree of interaction and I enjoyed the experience. Physically, I find him really attractive, so that all worked.
 
Apparently, some posters feel quite strongly about issues unrelated to the massage, which I don’t understand and don’t care to opine on.

Similar experience with vague answers like "downtown" instead of telling me the fucking hotel so I can figure out how long it would take me to get there. The worst part was that he tried to push a 4-handed massage with his partner and became unpleasant when I declined. Then I aborted the attempt to schedule a massage, which he didn't like but, oh well...
 
I am officially done with masseurs traveling in pairs, never a good experience for me.

Update: Luis now also works at Bluebell Spa in Columbia Heights. Carlos, formerly of DeLuca, owns Bluebell. I’ve had a session with Calixto from there and he is also very good. All masseurs are therapeutic, though Luis still has his ad on MM4M. I don’t know if there is a difference in customer experience between in-spa and not.

I don’t think I have ever had to ask about HE directly. Here is how I approach it: On first communication I ask about the massage type (erotic), specifically if he offers a full body massage. At this point the provider usually mentions HE (erotic is a big clue!) If not mentioned, if he just responds with ‘yes’ I give him a nudge by asking if he has any specific boundaries I should be aware of. If that doesn’t get us on the same page I try one last time by saying something like “here are the types of things I enjoy...lots of body contact, mutual touching” etc. At this point it is a go/no go decision... Hope that helps!

I think that there are some words missing in the middle of your post, but the deal is that his ad describes in general terms what he offers and how much it will cost. The posts here suggest that you could very well enjoy the type of massage he offers. If there is something specific - In terms of services - you would like to be part of your massage experience, the collective experience here seems to suggest that you can ask for it and Jake will be honest in response to your request. Regarding his self-identification as Str8 or otherwise and how that squares with your perception of his deal, I think we all have had different experiences with different masseurs who identify as one thing or another. I wouldn’t get too wrapped around the axle. At some point, curiosity can become obsession, which isn’t good for anyone. If you focus on your needs and his offered services, you’ll enjoy your time with Jake.

I agree that masseurs need time between clients because it is hard work giving a good deep tissue massage. It is a true workout if the Massage is thorough and you put your body into it. Not easy. But having said that the ad should be clear about the deal. I just don’t want to be charged for time I didn’t get as advertised.
 
My experience is that the more professional the masseur the more likely it is they give the full time and build in their relief or recovery/rest time into their appointment scheduling. Those who are in it for quick money... well you can tell in more ways than not getting the full time. Im done with guys who have no real skills but who trade on their perceived hotness. I mean I like a hot sexy guy just as lots of people do, but it’s not worth the money if you don’t get anything of substance from it.
 
I’ve known of doctors that scheduled people four deep and kept people waiting just so they can run ppl through the mill and make tons more money. Nope.

Finally... a happy ending after taking one for the team! Been a while since I took a chance. Ken checked all my boxes in advance... attractive, hosts, has a table, good rate, communicated well professing trained and could give a strong massage... so I went for it. He delivered. The pictures are perhaps a bit dated.. longer different style hair, more slender but a pretty ripped bod. Truly trained, not overtly sensual. Loved that he had new unique moves on the leg portion. Will go back for 90 minutes next time.

Sorry your experience in DC was less than what you expected. YMMV is a good thing to keep in mind. My experience a while back with Jeremy was amazing, although I agree it was over priced. Once again, this forum is so helpful as a resource in making decisions and getting the best read on masseurs one is thinking about hiring. Our experiences won’t all the be same, but it helps to hear varying experiences to get an idea of the range of what is likely with a particular individual. It is rare that my experience with a given masseur is wildly different from what the majority report here.

OK, that dumbfounds me. Most clients would swap their experience with yours. You can get a regular massage a whole lot cheaper.
 
Ivan is really a nice Russian/Ukranian kid who's pretty accommodating. He has put on a couple pounds lately. But good sex. He's on both Massuerfinder and Rentmen. Maybe looking out for those on both will help you avoid sex.
