So @12is12 some answers from me. But I will first admit that my “method” is totally subjective and has worked for me. It doesn’t work for other folks - some pay more, some pay less. I have my fun and if I don’t, then I move on and look forward to finding a muscleman to worship another day.
Of the two guys that kept me busy, one knew me well from a previous visit.  He is probably the closest thing to a bodybuilder in the bars at the time (I was there the weekend before Thanksgiving this visit). We had done a few private dances on the previous visit to PV and he knew me to be a very supportive patron inside and outside of the club - even after returning to the States. So, we have history.
The second was a young dancer that was new to me, although he said he had danced in PV for three years now but only for visits (he live in CDMX) for 3-4 weeks at a time.  He was young, adorable, muscular, and liked to flex so I was smitten. I noticed and then he started pointing out, that he did not typically spend a lot of time with individual patrons but usually liked to just keep getting up on the bar to dance and then make rounds to collect tips.  But that night he kept coming back to me cause we “got along” and for some reason he enjoyed me.  I am normally pretty respectful, asking before I touch anything private but once I have a green light, I enjoy the access.
My “method” in PV is that I tip in USD and I come with plenty of $1 and $5 bills.  I typically just keep slipping dollar bills in over and over. But because i know how much I bring i know I didn’t spend more than about $75 each on the two guys over the course of that few hours. I didn’t do any privates that night because I had spent plenty in other bars and was thinking I might enjoy more on Sunday.  
I did go back the next night and repeated as much, adding a couple of other guys into the rotation since the first (bigger) guy had another patron that was enjoying his company as well. So on the second night he jut came back and forth between me and his other patron.
Unlike other patrons and even members of this board, I do not typically do anything to sexual in public in PV. I will grope a penis and play with their erections, but I do not usually suck in public. I’ll kiss but not many dancers do that in public. I will suck in the private room and I have normally negotiated that with the dancer before going down there so i know what I can and can’t do before we ever get into the room. I would suggest you do as much so you’re not wasting your time talking when the clock is running…
This last visit I stayed at Hotel Eloisa which was nice and extremely convenient. One block off the beach, on the same street and two blocks down from these bars. My only issue is they, like other hotels, are very particular about allowing guests to your room.  Which in my brain is bullshit! I have also stayed in AirBnBs and while I loved the freedom of the coming and going, i would say choose well for location and convenience. 
As for the tipping for the stage shows, i just give them $1 and tell them thanks and then go back to the man that I am worshipping at the time.  The performers typically don’t linger out of respect for the dancer that I am engaging at the time.  Some of them try to come back by and get in for more tips since they can see that i am continuously stuffing dollar bills but if I am with someone I’m enjoying, I don’t even let them catch my eye so they have no reason to believe that I am going to pause and invite them in for the playtime…

Here's a sample of my during opportunities in Puerto Vallarta this week: 
Hired: 
1. Massage, which included bareback fucking.  Paid 3000 pesos ($165 US)

In summary: my best hires have been men who reached out to me on Grindr.  I found a few others at massage parlors or strip clubs, but have turned down more offers than I've accepted at these places.

The house charges 600 pesos ($33 US) for 10 minutes in a private room.  My 2 dances were very fun, but newbies just be warned to negotiate a price before hand.  I gave my 2 dancers  more than I usually do, because they were really good and that is on par what I might pay for similar time/action with a dancer in the US.  However, I am in Mexico so I'm sure I could have come to a price half that amount had I negotiated before going back to the booth, especially on a slow Tuesday night. 
The shower shows were the highlight and the reason I will go back later this week.

Price is now £200. I guess I understand why, but when you can book an incall with many for this price, it does take away the allure of VG somewhat. Had an amazing time with Gui this afternoon and am happy pay that price for him, but that’s because I’ve seen him before and know what I’m getting. Not some advert on a site. My experience in Thermas last year was similar, in that on my 2nd visit a hire from the day before blew me away and seemed even more enthusiastic about it than I was.  Your post inspires me to ask for off-site visits when I visit Thermas next year.

When you’re looking forward something a little too much, it inevitably disappoints because your expectations are simply too high.  But Thermas actually lived up to its billing even though I had been dreaming of going for years and popping out of my cleats about this trip for weeks.
First, Juan from Colombia.  He wasn’t really my type, but I was jumping the gun to get started with somebody.  Still had fun though.  Then Matteo from Brazil:  excellent Spanish, good kisser.  #3 was Felipe, also Brazilian:  good Spanish but his accent was so thick that I struggled to understand him.  Even more fun than Matteo.  I was about to go with Cayo (no clue how he spells it), also Brazilian, struggles with Spanish and I didn’t think to ask in English.  He’s a drop-dead gorgeous, buff, furry blond.  As we were walking down the stairs to find a room, good thing I asked instead of assuming because he quoted me 100€.  I apologized and begged off.  I went back to Felipe again, and the second time he was twice as passionate as the first.  Heck, he was more into it than I was.  I have plans to get together with him off-site Friday night.
Because I am so used to walking around the house barefoot, I absentmindedly put the flip-flops they give you in my locker.  There’s a damn good reason for those flip-flops.  Yup, I slipped and landed flat on my can.  So I left Thermas with a very sore ass, but in a bad literal way, not a fun figurative way.

I'll pitch in an update: was at Thermas last month (June)
If you pay close attention, you'll see both old faces and some influx of new faces (many either new to Barcelona or are just traveling around). Boys are predominantly Latinos with a couple of Moroccans and Africans (3-4) and David (the lone local). I heard a couple of providers speaking in American accent but not sure if they're regular or just wanting quick cash while traveling.
Days of the Week: Wednesday and Saturday are still the busiest and the time window is still 4-8. Thurs and Fri are ok but not heavy traffic days - which means if your favorites are there (which is a big if), the higher chance of you finding time with them; but also a higher chance of others who haven't done business approaching. By around 5:30-6:00, they will find you - you can't hide.
(Tip: Stay in the dry sauna — most of them don't like the heat but also they respect the sales process and won't swarm. You'll have the chance to survey them and their goodies one at a time)

Like most "free markets", there's a clear tier of guys that are quite popular and who have regulars that they're rarely on standby - those guys may tend to leave earlier too during slow days.
 
Rates: 50 - ask if you will but I think it's a universally implied assumption (I've been there for multiple consecutive days and never got up charged); if you want them to cum this shoots up to 100 (some will talk you down to 80). If you have good oral skills, it could be fun to see if you can get them to shoot anyway 😛. It almost happened with one of the guys named above 😆.
