I could see a scenario where a tweak of the original concept is something more along the lines of the following. As an example. Say there is a "Escort A", who primarily lives in Boston, Tampa, Atlanta or Philly and feels that it is difficult to reliably schedule extended trips to Seattle, SF or Los Angeles. But if in those west coast cities there were 4 or 5 clients that had history with "A" and they all knew that then its possible that the escort could reliably book a trip to the city knowing that at least 3 or so of the regular clients have committed to meet during that time period which protects the downside of travel. In my experience that is what the escort is essentially doing anyways, by having an anchoring client in a city and booking around that. But of course due to privacy issues and professionalism the other clients wouldn't/shouldn't know formally about each other. This way its pretty much the same thing but a little more coordinated with a little more openess with like minded clients. I'm NOT advocating for this specifically and just thinking of a plausible workable scenario.

I am way more inexperienced than most of you on here especially as it relates to massuers. In fact when i started hiring, i assumed that escorts would escort and had their range of offerable services and likewise massuers did the same however only within the range of erotic, sensual and therapeutic massage. I was inexperienced and assumed that it would be considered rude or borderline offensive to even broach the subject or to "go there" with a masseur regarding "escort-like" services that only had profiles on massage sites. I of course have later learned that for SOME, this is a much more fluid situation and there are many reasons why a person has profiles on one site and/or multiple sites and may or may not infer some services publicaly versus privately. So to me the YMMV can be helpful but only as to indicate that a profile that i may have assumed was strictly massage (based on its presentation), that it may be ok under the appropriate circumstances to inquire with that masseur about extra services not mentioned but i don't assume or expect to necessarily get the same results.

Here's another contextual question. You mention his profile has been up for years and he's well known and reviewed. i know on RM they can no longer mention specific rates but some do mention requiring deposits. If he's been doing this a long time and requiring deposits in his ordinary course of business, i'd find it hard to believe that he hasn't been used to a significant number of people decline that option. Hence getting angry seems unwarranted and a red flag. Interestingly the photo's may have changed but the video's are the same and in fact a couple were added that seem consistent. Just as an FYI, i live in LA and had never noticed his ad on RM until this past 4 to 6 weeks or so. However around 4 - 6 months ago he came to my attention as he had a profile on Seeking.
