It is very alarming - I see it every day here in NYC and around the country when I travel (and I do quite a bit). Portion size is definitely an issue. So is the consumption of convenient processed food. It is also the type of calories that you consume - banana vs banana milkshake; not just how many calories. Watch this space... The fact that you care enough about the guy to be worried says a lot about you! I dont know when compassion went out of style, but would love to see it make a comeback! It sounds like you have already done all you can do: reaching out, indicating that the channel of communication is open. If after the 3rd attempt you do not hear back, you should probably reallocate your time to meeting somebody else, expand your network and your ‘book of business’. Did he move on? Is he unwell? Either could be true and are outside of your control. Maybe he is out of town and you will hear back. In the mean time hold on to those fond memories and focus on your future. ?

Keep in mind that electronic communications like texting can be retained and could potentially be used against you. I follow a few basic rules. Make sure it is clear that you are paying for their time (not sex or anything illegal), never request any specific acts, rather state what you enjoy and ask if the other party would find that enjoyable too.
