I did in the old days, but reading that Trump called her and congratulated her on the show's ratings totally queers the deal for me. I'm really only ok with shows that totally embrace Hollywood's liberal agenda. Ain't that America?

Never said that I didn't love "Chicago". Just like you, it and "Cabaret" are my favorite musicals of all time. I was just saying that RZ had to really work at selling it and in the end, she did. Agree with BN that CZJ stole the show and I think from again what I have read, there was some degree of tension between the two because RZ was so challenged both as a singer and a dancer and that was CZJ's background.

Well, dammit. I knew better than to open this post. Now I am sitting here at work with tears running down my face like I had just watched the end of Old Yeller. Dammit.
 
Breaks my heart. They are the absolute best. So unfair that their lives are so short and that monkeys and turtles and parrots live for years and years. Such a testament to the kind of man you must be that you have opened your heart and home to so many and how lucky and truly blessed they were to have found you. So sad to see them go, but at least, in your buddy's case, he slipped away seemingly peacefully, secure as always in the fact that you were nearby, trusting til the end that you would see him safely home.
 
I am on the same scary path these days and know all to well how it feels to watch them for every tell tale sign. As my Dad used to say about my mother when it came to me, that she was like an old hen with just one chick (which sadly explains a lot about how things turned out), that's how I am with my furry little roommate. Just holding my breath, thankful for the good days and dreading the inevitable.
 
And having that constant conversation in my head about how all the joy that they bring to your life out weighs the sadness of when they leave it.... and it does. But dammit, it sure doesn't feel that way when you are in it. Many prayers for you and your gentle Ben.

Enjoyed I, Tonya very much. You certainly do see all points of view and at least, I came away feeling compassion for Harding. Imagine being a national joke for something that you really didn't even do? Or as the movie reports, didn't even know about it. Her husband's buddy and her "body guard" Sean was the mastermind of that ill fated plot if the movie is to be believed. Robbie does a great job and of course, Janney steals the show as her monster of a mother.
 
But Three Billboards is my favorite so far. Watched it twice. Huge fan of In Bruge and this movie comes from the same mind with a lot of the same cast and attitude. McDormand eviscerates the Catholic Church in one memorable rant. Harrelson is excellent as well as is Rockwell. Caleb Landry Jones is this one too. Seems to be his year. Watched him in American Made, Tom Cruise's best flick in years and in The Florida Project. Ladybird was great film, too. Very deserved win for Ronan. Wish Metcalfe could have won as well, but Janney was too good. Looking forward to seeing Metcalfe back on Roseanne revival, but afraid that Barr is going to slant it all pro Trump just to allegedly represent the deplorables that elected him. Turning the channel at the slightest hint of that. Harding's mother would have made a better prez than that ignorant embarrassment.
