Hello Dolly is also going to be in Chicago. I hope I can get tickets to see it in either Chicago or Cleveland, big Betty Buckley fan.

The last of my tickets arrived yesterday: “Hello, Dolly!” with Bette Midler in August.

Now I have all of the tickets in-hand for all my shows between now and the end of summer: “The Band’s Visit”, “Hello, Dolly!” (Bernadette Peters), “Hello, Dolly!” (Bette Midler), and “My Fair Lady”, all on Broadway; “Hamilton” in Cleveland for my birthday; and Disney’s “Aladdin” in Philadelphia.

And I may be getting an advance ticket for “Hello, Dolly!” at the National Tour Launch in Cleveland for October.

Very excited about all of this!

Bought a ticket for this as the last of the shows I’ll be seeing this summer in NYC. Snagged a front row center Loge seat.

So now it’s: 1) “Hello, Dolly!” twice (with Bernadette and Bette), 2) “The Band’s Visit”, and now 3) “My Fair Lady”. Wish I had more time and money!

The Recharge app can be pretty great. Nice hotels (though not 4hours for $90) but still quite reasonable.

I used that site a few months ago. Good experience in general. An escort I used to see regularly before he moved overseas was back in town but neither of us could host. I booked a room for four hours (less than $90 IIRC). I would use that site again. I liked being able to reserve a decent room in advance rather than go to a dive like the Senton "hotel".

Check if the tax is included when you book at a given price. If I remember well you might end up with a slightly more expensive bill than you thought.

Yes I have used them to hire escorts that don’t do in calls. It is fine, works as advertised.

I wish I could see the Band's Visit now. Katrina Lenk is so magical.

Bought my ticket for “The Band’s Visit” showing at the Barrymore Theater. Very excited! Love the Original Broadway Cast Recording, have been listening to it for a week now.

Will be seeing the show May 30th along with “Hello, Dolly!” on my first ever trip to Broadway.

I thought it would be interesting to hear what everyone else saw in 2017. Since I don’t live near NYC and it’s a bit difficult for me to get away I rely on the National Tours. This year was a good one for me attending eleven performances:

    1 - “Something Rotten”
2 - “The Book of Mormon”
3- “The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time”
    4 - “The King and I”
    5 - “Fun Home”
    6 - “Dirty Dancing”
7 - “An American in Paris”
    8 - “School of Rock”
9 - “Phantom of the Opera” (new version)
    10 - “The Color Purple”
    11 - Disney’s “The Lion King”

Looking forward to 2018 as the first six months start off with six shows including “Love Never Dies”, “Wicked”, “Waitress”, “Rent”, “The Humans”, and Disney’s “Aladdin”.

Once the 2018-2019 season is announced in late March for Pittsburgh (can’t wait!) I’m sure there’ll be a dozen more that’ll keep me busy well into 2019!

Now looking forward to my first-ever on Broadway show! Since “Hello, Dolly!” isnt coming to Pittsburgh for the 2018/2019 touring season, looks like I’m going to NYC to see this. Bought my ticket for the May 30th 8pm show - snagged a front row Center Mezzanine seat Row A. It’s funny because I had been looking the past couple of days and that seat wasn’t there. Saw it last night and bought it!

It’s why people would rather see “The Phantom of the Opera”, or “The Lion King”, “Waitress”, Disney’s “Aladdin”, “Beautiful”, “The Book of Mormon”, “Come From Away”, “Hamilton”, “Kinky Boots”, “Wicked”, “Dear Evan Hansen”, or even “Escape to Margaritaville”. It was the show they picked. It was the show they wanted to see. Not the one you picked, or the one you think is a better choice.

Watched four movies this weekend nominated or that had nominees, my personal opinions:

    1) Lady Bird - enjoyed this quite a bit. IMHO no real standout performances though. Also has a role played by Timothée Chalamet. Not a must-see, but if you have some extra time on a rainy day.

    2) The Florida Project - this whole movie just made me mad. Sure there were some cute bits, but overall. It was disturbing, maddening, and rendered so many emotions. Weird ending after all that. Recommended.

    3) Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri - powerful performances by Frances McDormand and Sam Rockwell. This was my favorite of the four I watched.

    4) Darkest Hour - amazing performance by Gary Oldman. Great movie.

A few guesses (favorites) for tonight:

    BEST PICTURE
    Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri

    BEST ACTOR
    Gary Oldman, Darkest Hour

    BEST ACTRESS
Frances McDormand, Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri

    BEST SUPPORTING ACTOR
Sam Rockwell, Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri

    BEST ANIMATED FEATURE FILM
    Loving Vincent

I’d already seen Dunkirk in the theaters. Enjoyed the movie and the parts in Darkest Hour that described what was involved in saving those men off of the beachhead.
