Wasn’t sure which forum to post this in, so I apologize if this is the wrong one.

So I’m already coming to NYC at the end of May for two days, seeing a couple of shows, and doing some sightseeing. Pretty much covering a lot of what I want to do while I’m there.

For my mid-August trip to see Bette Midler in “Hello, Dolly!” I’ll be arriving at 6:30am on a red-eye Megabus and leaving the same day around 11pm.

Anyone ever use a day-room website like DayUse.com or similar? The rates are quite good for what I need - a place to get off my feet and relax for an hour or two intermittently during the day, and maybe a shower or a place to freshen up.

Yes I have used them to hire escorts that don’t do in calls. It is fine, works as advertised.

Check if the tax is included when you book at a given price. If I remember well you might end up with a slightly more expensive bill than you thought.

In the ones I looked at it wasn’t. I also checked the websites of several of the hotels to get an idea how much extra those taxes and fees would be. Some were just plain crazy.

I used that site a few months ago. Good experience in general. An escort I used to see regularly before he moved overseas was back in town but neither of us could host. I booked a room for four hours (less than $90 IIRC). I would use that site again. I liked being able to reserve a decent room in advance rather than go to a dive like the Senton "hotel".

  • 2 weeks later...

I booked the Holiday Inn Express for yesterday (20 May) through DayUse.com. Had it from 10am to 5pm for $99. Taxes were about $17 extra. Room was more than adequate for the purpose. Didn’t need that long, but it gave me plenty of time to shower etc before and after my guest arrived and left.
