For all you muscle-obsessed guys out there: I follow a lot of bodybuilders on IG, and for the past month it seems like almost every day brings another post about so-and-so’s biceps tendon rupture. Literally, out of the dozen or so bodybuilding or fitness pros I follow, six at least — I’ve lost count, tbh — have either just f*cked themselves up in this specific way, have just had surgery to correct it, or are working through rehab. Anybody else notice this? It’s not an uncommon injury, but it seems weird that it should happen in clusters. The muscle-obsessed horn-dog in me hates to see the IG account of a hot bodybuilder go dark for six weeks, but as somebody with his own share of war wounds, you gotta feel for these guys ... [and I “feel for them” as often as they’ll let me!]
