Read this review from NPR and you’ll see. Also, plenty of hot men’s backsides. It even has a threesome with a lawyer, his hot realtor boyfriend and a go-go boy.

I did not like the fact that the original Mouse didn't want to be involved after the first series. I loved him a lot. I remember watching this when it first aired in Akron, OH, although I had read the books before. I was blown away.

While reading the original novel by Dan Simmons back in 2007, I still recall the depressing feelings it elicited. The novel has a few supernatural elements, though it is based on factual events. The main thing I remember was how relentless the cold is and how discouraging it is to wake up each day with the ship mired in the ice! I had to read something light and diverting after I finished the novel. It remains one of the bleakest books I've ever read.
 
Thus I hope to watch the first season to compare the novel with the series.

well-produced little clip......so many of these internet/youtube/influencer/blog sites try waaaaayyy too hard to be edgy/hip/too cool with quick edit cuts, silly photography, exaggerated indignation, what-have-you .......this guy (if he put this all together himself) was restrained and entertaining, but not gimmicky or bad ass.......

Anyone that's been a fan over the years (as I have) might be interested that Russell T. Davies has written and created a new TV drama, Years and Years.

The cast looks great: Russell Tovey, Emma Thompson for example. I love Tovey. Will never forget his part in Looking the Movie. So good. And Emma Thompson is a treasure.
 
The six-part drama is a co-production with BBC One, HBO and CANAL+. Hopefully that means it will air on HBO later this year, when it is scheduled to begin airing on BBC One. If anyone has better info on that please share!
 
From what I've read, those that have screened Years and Years are saying good things.
