  2. Every time I see this, I hear it in Park Overall's voice, talking to (or about) her friend Lurlene (whose name is spelled incorrectly on the clip below).
  3. Florida man arrested for pooping on dead possum during rush hour traffic
  4. “Great British Bake Off” star Paul Hollywood revealed his distain for a classic American dessert: Twinkies. The notoriously harsh judge of the beloved baking show tells Page Six he tried the Hostess snack, which has been around since 1930, last year while visiting New York. “Oh, they’re awful!” he says, adding, “They’re really bad.” He should've just sampled some Twinks in NY. Despite his snub of an iconic US treat, the “The Great American Baking Show” host does enjoy some junk foods. Hollywood says he’s a massive fan of a British snack called a Yum Yum, “which is like a laminated dough, which you deep-fry like a donut and you cover it with a lemon icing.” “Calorific wise, it’s probably about 2,000 calories,” Hollywood admits. “It’s ridiculous, but if I’m in a supermarket and see it pre-packed, I’m going to quietly put it in my basket.” I wouldn't mind getting a look at his basket.
  5. Newark shelter trying to find home for 'once rambunctious' dog named Red who has been there 2 years: 'Melancholy and depressed' So one could say Red is blue. They’re desperately trying to find this hound a home for the holidays. An animal shelter in Newark is hoping one of its longtime canine residents will be adopted soon. Six-year-old Red has spent two years at the Associated Humane Societies in Newark, N.J.. and the shelter is noticing the “once rambunctious and lively spirited dog is now melancholy and depressed.” “Our staff know it, our volunteers know it- but the world doesn’t seem to understand Red is an amazing dog,” the shelter posted on its Facebook page. “Red is dog friendly and a great dog for a home with adults,” the post continued. “At 6 years old Red has spent 1/3 of his life behind a kennel door. Can a compassionate and understanding family take Red under their wing- either through foster or adoption?” The shelter noticed the dog has grown melancholy.

  7. CAN'T ANYONE ON THIS SITE MAKE AN ACCURATE PREDICTION ABOUT THE CARDINALS?!?!? Phillies Agree To Seven-Year Deal With Aaron Nola The Phillies are reportedly in agreement with right-hander Aaron Nola on a seven-year deal, per USA Today’s Bob Nightengale. ESPN’s Jeff Passan reports that the agreement’s guarantee sits at $172MM. Jon Heyman of the New York Post reports that the deal features no team options or opt-outs. Per Nightengale, Nola is set to undergo a physical today before the deal becomes official. Reporting earlier this morning suggested talks between the sides were picking up steam.

  10. A little editing never hurts. Meet any similarly annoyed relatives at a cheap restaurant that's open and 'pig' out on turkey (see what I did there?) and when she asks why so few people showed up this year tell her the truth -- you wanted to enjoy the holiday with family and she makes that impossible.
