I recommend "Get What's Yours for Medicare" by Philip Moeller. I've read the book once and will need to read it at least once more before I turn 65 in August. Medicare is very complicated and this is coming from someone who was a tax professional in my working career. There is a companion book about Social Security which I also recommend.

I was married to a woman and have a son. I was in my 40's before I even came out to myself. My wife passed away 10 years ago and that's when I started to come out publicly. It's more common than one might think - I met many of my current friends in a gay fathers organization. I honestly don't know what I would have done if my wife had not passed away; our marriage wasn't perfect but we had good times. I didn't lose any friends or family when I came out and have a good relationship with my son.

If you need to work on rebuilding your credit I'd start with credit union or local bank where you can sit face-to-face with a credit officer.

how are they sending the money? If they send you a bad check it would take a while for your bank to kick it back to you and debit your account. In the meantime you've repaid the "loan". Have not heard of this scam before but my guess is that is how it would play out.

I tried to meet with him when he was in Seattle a few months ago. Everything was good until he asked my stats, which I gave him, and then I never heard from him again. The only stat that's "bad" is my age (57). Kind of pissed me off at the time but I figured if he wants to waste his money on a RB ad that's his business. I've had great times with guys his age before and will continue to do so; thanks Griffin :-) . I did see he was in PS - was checking out the scene since I will be there next weekend. Hope this helps.
