Properly designed studies will control for other variables. Problem is a lot of this stuff is self reported, so it takes a lot of reproductions, then someone will do a meta-analysis...

I was not able to understand it when I was younger, so left it alone for may decades. But when I came back to it, wow, I understood what almost everyone was talking about from day one.

When I navigate into a conversation, I see a button near the top that toggles between "Mark Read" and "Mark Unread". You might test toggling that a couple of times.

He can't very well come out singing

Yes. Additionally, he could easily put his age as 28, but instead it's 32. That's a plus in my book.

He lists his height as 5'5", which is the minimum on RM, so he may very well be even shorter. Either way it would not be unusual for his head to appear large relative to his body. Skin tone can be impacted by sun exposure. I don't see anything amiss and I will be keeping an eye on him.

I think that would be a small head on a 5'9" body but I guess it's possible.
